About 30 years ago I went to Phoenix #1. Then it relocated to Phoenix #2 near the Honda Center behind the car dealership. They were there 26yrs. Now they are in Brea so let’s say Phoenix #3. There is a poetic story that can be found in that history. Well that’s the story I was told visiting today. Our visit was long over due. The beer was soooo good on such a beautiful so cal day. Wifey and I loved the patio area. We ordered a pretzel which had plenty of salt....

Authentic German food, tasty, served relatively quickly with friendly service. The bratwurst was cooked to perfection. Sauerkraut tangy but not overpowering. Spetzle homemade. Warm rolls. Hearty Goulash. Comfort foods galore.

You have to go to Germany to find food this good. The new location in Brea is really nice. Try a schnitzel, spaetzle and potato pancakes with apple sauce. They also have all the good German biers.
