Charlew's Tap House Reviews
I have been eating at Charliews since it was Mary's. My first time was in Sonoma County over 30 years ago. The Italian food and smells continue. Perfect always. Thanks for reminding me of my Nonna back in the day.
I love that they have a clean play place for the kids! Yes it’s a small fee but if that means they clean it and it’s not treated like a free babysitter I’m in! Service is friendly and attentive and food is delicious. Looking forward to coming back.
Brooke was so amazing, above and beyond, excellent service the food was excellent, had the patty melt and it was incredible!

Charlew's Tap House, formerly known as Mary's Pizza, is a family-friendly restaurant that offers a great dining experience for both adults and children. The restaurant has a welcoming atmosphere with a full bar, including self-serve beer taps. The menu includes a variety of dishes, such as pizza, pasta, meatballs, calamari, and pretzel bites, which are highly recommended. The staff is friendly and attentive, providing excellent service. The restaurant also features private booths and large tables, making it a great spot for both small and large groups. It is especially popular for its pizza, which many customers say is the best they have tasted in the area. The pizza is baked in a stone oven, keeping the ingredients and quality consistent from the days when it was Mary's Pizza Shack.
Kids are well taken care of, as there are bounce houses and games in the room next door, which many children love. The restaurant offers affordable lunch specials, making it a good choice for those on a budget. The full bar includes some nice microbrews on tap, adding to the relaxed vibe. Visitors often mention the friendly staff, especially waitresses who are attentive and personable. The location is very convenient, close to Interstate 5, making it easy to reach.
Recently, families have enjoyed the food and service, noting that the service is hard to find these days. The giant meatball dish is a favorite, and even the house salad is praised for its taste. Many find the restaurant to be a hidden gem, combining good food, friendly service, and a kid-friendly environment—all at a reasonable price. It’s a place where families can enjoy a fun and easy night out with happy vibes and no chaos.
