Meizhou Dongpo Restaurant (眉州东坡)

It was the first time I ate Meizhou Dongbo in the United States. My child wanted to eat roast duck and ordered half of it. The roast duck was not freshly made and was not fresh. The pancakes were all stuck together, one was dark and one was light. It was hard and could not be torn apart. . The braised pork with pickled vegetables was not freshly made. When it was served, it looked like it had been sitting for a while. It could only be said that it had not gone bad, and the texture and taste were not good. The fat beef is basically full of fat and almost tasteless. After two bites, it is so greasy that I feel like vomiting. I ordered several dishes and ate a few bites, but there was nothing left. I spent more than $180, which is very expensive. If you don’t cook the dishes freshly, why are you charged such an expensive price? As for the service, the waiter saw no one else except when he started ordering. When my wife was ordering, the waiter turned around and left before my wife finished ordering. It was me who caught up and added a drink. Before I left, I didn't leave a tip. The waiter caught up with me and asked me why I didn't leave a tip. I said I wasn't satisfied with the quality and taste of the food, and the waiter turned away and left. I spent more than $180 on my own, but I wasn’t even full, and the service was not good, so why should I tip?

The dishes at this restaurant continue to maintain an impressive standard. The seasoning of the "Sliced Beef with Chili Sauce" is precise, with a perfect balance of spiciness and flavor that leaves a lasting impression. We ordered their specialty Peking Roasted Duck combo, it is about $100 dollars. The chef slice the duck in front of us which impressed my guests. We also got some cold appetizers such as Bang Bang Chicken, Sliced Beef with Chile Sauce, sweet lotus root with sticky rice, and etc. they were all great! In addition, I like our waiter who was very patient to answer all the questions we had for ordering food. Definitely, I will visit again!

I thought the food was delicious. I'm already a big fan of Chinese cuisine so I was surprised to find new dishes there that surpassed my already high opinion of Chinese food. The peppered beef and string beans are my new favorites. The host and waiter were very friendly and chatty (I liked that). Dongpo is my new favorite Chinese restaurant!

Wait for the beijing duck roll to come literally wait for an hour and more, ridiculous. A 30m or knowing ahead of waiting time is acceptable but nope.
All they say its they still making and three table like us waited so long.
food is alright some not bad some like mapu tofu not that good but its pricey

Server is busy , they are nice but not helpful and in the end no apology.
Wont come again...

It is one of the better restaurants in the mall.
Food quality are above average. The taste is almost authentic.
The price of the food is average compared to other similar restaurant.
If you go there for the first time, the place is a little hard to find.
They are located in the courtyard on the second floor. There is an entrance to the courtyard before Macy's department store.

The dishes are very delicious, especially the squirrel fish, beef bones, lobster, etc. are all very delicious. The fruit plate is very nicely arranged, but the watermelon is not very sweet.

The food is very authentic and the service is great. It's a must go restaurant for my family whenever we come to visit Irvine. All the chef recommended dishes are tasty. Recommend Peking duck, Sweet & sour fish.

Food, service, and ambiance is top notch. Duck is a must have. Everything that we ordered is amazing. I believe I founf the best Chinese restuarant in LA!! This place is a gem!!!

To be fair, food is a 3.5 star, pretty good, but not as good as the OC location (keep in mind its same pricing as OC).
Other servers was pretty nice, but,
our server, we either owe him money or he just got a devorse IDK lol

I absolutely love this restaurant. The food tastes amazing, and you can tell the ingredients are very fresh. The service is excellent, and the dining environment is quite pleasant. Overall, it's a fantastic experience. This is my top choice for dining with friends. Highly recommended!

Great customer service. Great ambiance. They miss a few steps at this location. Their fried rice is grossly undercooked, very chewy and hard.
