I would definitely eat here again. I had the tenders with medium heat. My lips are still glowing a little. Give them a try!
The food is ok. The spiciness was too weak for a medium where all i taste is the chicken. I think i will change my review if i get a hotter spice. Overall though, its
The food was really good. The guy who took my order made recommendations, and I went for chicken and waffles. Very well seasoned and the chicken was cooked to perfection! The waffles are so fluffyvand delicious.
Not bad. A little over-fried. But more importantly, it was juicy. I don't like how the spices were caked onto the chicken though. It should be much more evened out. But other than that, the spices actually hit me. Teared me up and made me blow my nose. If you're feeling sick with a cold, this is a good remedy!Although, they seemed a bit short-staffed. They quoted 17min, but it was closer to 25. So keep that in mind.
Terrible food. The chicken was tough as a rock, the fries were super stale and tough/cold. I’ve gone here a handful of times and the most recent two times have been pretty bad. The first few times were alright, which is why I returned. But the quality has declined in recent months. The food isn’t even mediocre. I am not exaggerating about tough chicken. The worst chicken I’ve ever eaten. Literally bubble gum. Chewing on Taffy. The fries were bad too. Half of them fresh, half of them old and cold. They are obviously mixing old food with good food.Don’t eat here.
Let me start with the hours of the place, it says on google they close at 8pm but it’s actually closed at 7. We got there about 3 minutes before 7 and we’re barely able to order. There was people coming after 7 which was sad they were telling them it was closed, they should have a sign saying so. Apart from that! The food was good, my boyfriend order the Mac daddy, you can never go wrong with that. I ordered the waffles and chicken, the waffles are tiny but very soft and good.
Good food. Been eating here every couple of months and it's really good. Typical order is the Mac Daddy + spicy fries (I need to remember to ask for pickles tho) Kaitlin's awesome and very welcoming btw <3
The medium and plain jay sandwiches were so bomb. The home style fries were a great side. By far, one of my top 3 chicken sandwiches!!
Had to wait over 20 minutes just to get our food. Came at a pretty dead time and still took forever to get it. Once the sandwich was ready, they forgot the fries. The chicken was a little dry, and overall, would not recommend.
I ordered the breast and wing Honestly the chicken doesn’t taste seasoned at all. The breading/skin was very salty. I ordered mild didn’t really have any heat which was fine since it did say that. I would say the best part of the meal was actually the fries and sweet tea. Service was amazing though. Wouldn’t recommend their chicken

This place puts Chick-fil-A to shame. It’s so delicious and has perfect flavor! Pricey but worth it.
The chicken strips and chicken sandwich was fantastic. However for the price I paid, the slice of bread with my tenders was absolutely stale, the fries were cold and stiff, and the buns on the chicken sandwich were also cold. I was also disappointed when I opened the box and saw this tiny amount of fries. The Mac n cheese is $5 and comes in a teeny tiny little cup that can be finished in 3 spoonfuls. I feel like there's a lot of promise in this place but this was not worth it.
Ordered the half chicken extra hot and solo tender mild. Got to say I loved the chicken. Nice crunch, juicy and great base flavors to both bone in and the tender. My issue is with the dry spices. The extra hot was not very hot and since only dry sauces, didn’t add much. The come back sauce is basically “1000 island”, which the cashier said exactly that and big sexy is buffalo sauce, again as cashier described them. Would have been nice if there was some uniqueness to the sauces and/or able to choose heat levels to add the needed kick. The spicy Kringle cut fries were pretty good though. The biggest issue was probably the wait time. About 30 - 40 min wait time. I assumed it was for the bone in chicken, but was told that it was for the fries which seemed a little weird, since many others got their orders before us even though they ordered after us. I guess will have to order ahead next time or do some shopping after ordering.
Food was great, my complaint is it took 30 Minutes to get my food. I was the only person to tip the girl, and they gave my order to someone else, didn't check to see if that other guy had the right number for pickup. Just 2 workers with a line 5 deep. One to take your order, and a cook. Need one to pack the orders when the cook is done. Cashier had to pause while packing orders. I'm done, won't go back.
Jay Bird's is officially our favorite hot chicken sandwich! Holy hot chicken Batman! This was our first visit and it most certainly will not be our last.We both ordered the Chicken Sandwich and fries. I chose medium and my wife chose hot. Since it was our first experience we chose the smoked tomato ketchup and the ranch.First the fries. How do I describe them? If Shake Shack's fries had a spicy little brother. Crispy on the outside and pillowy soft on the inside, generously dusted with cayenne powder. These little guys pack a punch. I believe the heat on the fries makes the house made sauces even more delicious as they prepare your palate for the main event.Iiit's Time!!! The main event of the evening! The reigning, defending, undisputed heavyweight champion of the chicken sandwich wars... Jay Bird's!What is the first bite like you may ask? That moment at the end of the first Matrix movie when Morphius realizes that Neo is the chosen one. That's the feeling. This sandwich is the chosen one. All the other spicy chicken sandwiches from the chain restaurants should turn and run just like the agents did after Neo defeated Agent Smith and then bent reality with his power.Seven ounces of juicy chicken breast cutlet fried to crispy perfection. The cutlet is thin and large, spilling out of the big brioche bun all around. The ratio of sauce to slaw to pickle to bun is also perfect. Double perfection.Wait a minute, if seven is the number of perfection, then this sandwich is triple perfection.Bonus information: This small franchise started in Long Beach and currently has six locations with plans to expand to more than twenty in 2022.So, do yourself a favor and give this place a try soon.
