super fresh and sweet. I didn’t realize almost every dish had roe on it! Not cheap, but totally worth it. Beautiful presentation, great quality. I’ll be back.

We just happened to be in the area after shopping at the Santa Anita mall and I couldn’t believe what a hidden gem we stumbled upon!!
The quality of the fish and seafood used here were so good. I wasn’t expecting that at all.
On top of that, the intimacy of the restaurant vibes were perfect for a dinner date.
The protein to rice ratios were very telling. It’s definitely not one of those sushi spots that try to use extra rice to fill you up! I loved everything we ordered.
I’ll definitely be coming back!

Despite the mom & pops size of this restaurant, the sushi here is grand! Set in a cozy and slightly dimly lit space. Really nice bar set up. The sparkling grape cocktail was so refreshing.
I’ve always been treated very well by the staff here as well. Everyone here has been so friendly & no rush.
The food speaks for itself in the pictures for presentation. The quality of the seafood was excellent. Loved trying their seasonal dishes with my friends because we were able to get such a nice spread.
The tuna rolls & baked lobster head were phenomenal. Love their cold noodles whether soba or mentaiko udon. The garlic on the kobe beef is a perfect finish for flavor and texture. Definitely looking forward to dining in here soon!

We came to Kiyo Japanese Cuisine for a pre Father’s Day dinner and were blown away by the quality and presentation of the food. Everything was fresh, beautifully plated, and full of flavor.
Highlights:
• The uni + ikura oysters were incredibly fresh and flavorful.
The sweet shrimp and sashimi platter melted in our mouths—top-notch quality.
The grilled wagyu cubes were juicy and cooked to perfection.
The lobster salad was light yet rich, a must-try!
Don’t skip dessert—the matcha cake with whipped cream and drizzle was the perfect ending.
The atmosphere was cozy, and the staff were super attentive. Great for family dinners or casual celebrations. Will definitely be back!

It's inside a plaza with lots of parking, so very easy to get in and out. The restaurant is small inside, with limited seating, but it feels cozy and clean. You can tell they focus more on quality food than fancy space. Every dish we tried was fresh, flavorful, and looked beautiful. The chef really puts care into everything. I loved the oysters - they brought out kumamoto's which were my fav. So fresh with uni and ikura! Aji (mackerel) sashimi - I usually don't like aji, but this one was so soft and buttery. Surprised me! Lobster roll - Full of meat, not stingy at all. Very tasty. Definitely recommend. Authentic japanese sushi restaurant/!

Kiyo Japanese Cuisine is a great pick for a special night out. Everything was super fresh—loved the Kumamoto oysters with uni and ikura, Aji sashimi (whole fish), and the miso Chilean seabass. The Kobe gyutan was thick, tender, and flavorful. Highlight was the premium sushi set—pricey but worth it. Sweet shrimp sashimi was incredibly fresh. Love the desserts too.

This is definitely a hidden gem in the heart of Arcadia!
Every single dish our table had was absolutely amazing -- fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The attention to detail here is unmatched.
While everything we tried was incredible, a few standouts stole the show for me:
- The aji (mackerel) sashimi was unbelievably fresh and buttery. I normally don't like aji but this one had me in a chokehold.
- Oysters: they use kumamoto oysters which are my favorite kind. They're smaller but so much more sweeter. It was soo good with the uni and ikura paired on top
- The lobster roll was packed with flavor. Did not skimp on the meat at all
- And the premium sushi plate? Chef's kiss -- every piece was melt-in-your-mouth.
Can't wait to come back again soon. 10/10 recommend!

Restaurantji Recommends
The ambiance is very nice and relaxing. The sushi was probably the best I have had at a small restaurant! It was delicious and very thick pieces! We tried so much food and every dish was spectacular! My favorite dishes were the oyster with Uni, the Tuna on fire Roll and the matcha cheesecake! It was super cool to see they had the fresh tuna head on display. I definitely recommend it! And cant wait to go back! The prices were reasonable because the quality of the fish and serving sizes were good!

The beef skewers are tender and well-seasoned. The oysters are very fresh, and paired with special sauce, they are a real treat for the taste buds. The ambiance is comfortable, and the service is attentive, making for a very pleasant dining experience. Highly recommended!

taste of Japan that feels like home🍜🍘🇯🇵
As a HKer, I’m used to incredibly fresh Japanese ingredients flown in directly from Japan, so I’m quite particular about Japanese food.🎌
Recently, I found a Japanese restaurant in LA that truly impressed me — the flavors and freshness brought back to the memories in Japan. 🥹
It’s rare to find this level of authenticity outside Japan, but this place nailed it.
Short and sweet, Some highlights here:
Premium Chirashi Don #魚生飯
The sashimi was incredibly fresh and buttery. The owner specially recommended the fish, which is flown in directly from Japan — and it shows.
Lobster Roll #龍蝦 #龍蝦卷
Beautifully presented with a whole chunk of lobster on top. It had a creative fusion twist — like Hong Kong-style lobster yee mein #龍蝦伊麵 turned into a Japanese dish.
Grilled Wagyu Tongue #和牛 #牛脷
Made with real Japanese wagyu beef. Expertly grilled — tender, flavorful, and perfectly charred on the edges.
Uni Tofu #海膽 #海膽豆腐
Another unique fusion dish. Silky, smooth tofu topped with creamy sea urchin — fresh, rich, and full of umami.
Oysters #生蠔
A must-try is the Kumamoto oyster. Known for its sweet and smooth flavor. The chef takes it up the next level by adding fresh uni and fish roe on top.
Last but not the least, I love the ambience too. Minimalist yet Chic 🥢
