We were in the area so decided to get some groceries at Good Fortune market next door and try some take out here. Good Fortune was a bust with most of the shelves empty but the food from May Mei was pretty good. We had the fried fish filet and Singapore noodles and enjoyed both. Pretty good prices too. Really old restaurant but service was efficient.

Been coming here for nearly 20 years and the food is still so good. I’ve moved back home and found NEW things that I love at this restuarant.
If you’re in the area and craving comfort canto food, don’t hesitate. Love their free soup that they offer in person. Love love love this place.

May Mei has become my go-to Chinese Hong Kong style restaurant. Why? Great personalized friendly service -- but come earlier. Great food like how my mother used to make at affordable prices in generous portions. At office reunion lunch this Saturday, we had the August $16 special Steamed fresh live-well Fish (tilapia) -- so yummy that although only head, eye and bone were left over, two wanted to take home the leftovers! I love their Scrambled Egg w/Shrimp dish like my mother made every Chinese New Year. I also love their Fish Fillet over bed of veggies, Sweet & Sour Ribs, and Fish Maw soup although their house soup is very flavorful too. Mushroom w/Chinese Greens and Chicken with String Beans are great for balancing the meal. Lunch for 4 with 6 dishes was less than $100 with lots of leftovers.
0/5 Order beef with scrambled eggs $13.95 on the menu. Waiter told me dinner need to order rice separately. And we I pay their give me this $18.55 +$1.7rice. When I ask for the menu again, they said it is not this dishes but they could not find any dishes match with 18.55. Also ask me to pay cash and said card will charge $1 dollars xtra. Very rude waitress even use the pen to point to me. They don’t give the regular receipt to avoid the tax. IRS needs to check them. When I ask for the price they got mad and start yelling.

We’ve been going to May Mei’s for years. Food quality is still very good. However, services have gone downhill and it really depends on who is helping you. I’ve recently went twice in a week with friends. Ended up with two very different experiences.
Over lunch, the servers (two guys) were not very friendly and almost feel like we were not welcomed. Another visit late at night. The servers (ladies) were very nice and even though it was near closing time, they were still very prompt and friendly.

Only 3 stars because of the lunch time they got! 11am to 4pm.. most places I've been to for lunch ends around 5pm or 6pm. Hopefully they change it. Probably would get more customers. But food is very good!!

Unfortunately, I had a BAD experience with the service here. I didn’t realize I had no card or cash with me, so I asked if I could pay with Apple Pay. The staff member simply walked past me and said “NO” without offering any help or alternatives. I mentioned I had other payment options like Zelle, but the manager treated me like I was trying to avoid paying, which was both awful and embarrassing.
The food itself was good, but service like this really changes the whole experience. I won’t be coming back because of how I was treated. If you decide to give this place a try, make sure you bring a physical card or cash—they don’t accept NFC payments like Apple Pay.

Eggplant & pork was so good. I could eat that with steamed rice on the regular.

I'd have given 5 star but there is a surcharge for cc. I didn't know. I wish they would post it on their window.
The food was fresh and tasty. Large portions for the money. Plus free tea.

If you are going to the mall, arboretum, or the race track, then you have to go to my favorite Chinese restaurant. We live an hour away but still manage to come here several times a year because it is the best, Get the pan fried noodles and more.
