ordered the CA burrito online and got a meat and bean burrito instead, double checked physical receipt, and online receipt to see if I ordered wrong or was given the wrong bag but everything was correct, the food was good as always but mainly bummed that i didn't get what I ordered. I did select the chef recommendation option incase they were out of something and needed to replace it with something else, say if they didn't have steak to use al pastor, but the entire burrito was literally just steak and beans. Nothing else that would come inside the CA burrito.

Its best for bigger parties but not for 2 people. Also, very noisy if you're next to a large party due to the acoustics.

Food was mediocre, no one in my group finished their food. I literally felt nauseated half way through my plate. Michelada was not great there's no special mix to it tasted like a beer with some tomato sauce and a lime. The sampler was mostly tortilla chips and bits of burnt microwaves cheese.
$100 for 3 of us and not satisfied.
Whats worse is I've been here in the past and was waaay better so I'm not sure what happened in between the gap

I loved their A la Diabla Fish plate it came with tasty rice and vegetables. However, they recently removed it fron the menu. So now I need to find a new fish place. They have garlic fish options, but I'm not a fan of garlic and they wouldn't make the fish plain. So they lose a star.

Standard Mexican food with little variation. Very enjoyable with different shows. Very attentive wait staff. Overall a good experience.

First time here ,we went for brunch. Food was really good. Our waitress seemed very busy. Maybe for the area. Not sure but we waited a long time for drink refills

Restaurantji Recommends
My wife and I have been to Villa Catrina in Arcadia a couple of times before as guests of family members who frequent this restaurant. Each time, the food, service, and atmosphere were great — which is why we decided to look into hosting a baptism brunch here based on our past experiences and our family’s recommendation.
When I first called, I spoke with a lady who was incredibly kind and helpful. She went over menu options, pricing, and availability in detail and was very professional. That call left a great impression and made us excited to plan our event here.
Unfortunately, our in-person visit today was very different. When we stopped by during lunch to ask about reserving a date, we were connected with an employee named Joe. From the start, his tone was dismissive. Before even asking about our group size or specific date, he told us they already had a 40-person event that day and that our date “probably wasn’t available.” He also said several times that he wouldn’t be able to “move his staff around” to accommodate another party. When we asked if he could check with the person in charge of scheduling, he said he didn’t want to interrupt their schedule and told us to come back at 5:30.
We’re not sure if Joe might be the owner, but if we were running a business, we’d never want to foster that type of attitude toward potential customers. We completely understand if a date is booked, but the interaction could have been handled with more care.
We’re sharing this not to bash the restaurant — because the food and staff have been great in the past — but to help others know to speak directly with the right person for events. This place has a lot of potential, but today’s experience was disappointing.

My wife and I have been to Villa Catrina in Arcadia about two or three times before, always as guests of family members who frequent this restaurant. Each time, the food, service, and overall atmosphere were great — which is why we decided to consider hosting a baptism brunch here, based on both our own positive past experiences and our family’s recommendation. When I first called, I spoke with a lady who was incredibly kind and helpful. She went over menu options, pricing, and availability with patience and professionalism. That initial call left a great impression and made us even more excited to plan our event here. Unfortunately, our in-person visit today was a completely different experience. When we stopped by during lunch to ask about reserving a date, we were connected with an employee named Joe. From the start, his tone was dismissive. Before asking for any details, he repeatedly told us they already had a 40-person event that day and that our date “probably wasn’t available.” He also mentioned multiple times that he wouldn’t be able to “move his staff around” to accommodate another group. When we asked if he could contact the person in charge of scheduling, he said he didn’t want to interrupt their schedule and told us to “come back at 5:30.” We’re not sure if Joe might be the owner, but one thing is certain — if we were running a business, we’d never want to foster that kind of attitude toward potential customers. We completely understand if a date is booked or if someone else handles event scheduling, but the interaction could have been handled with more care and professionalism. A simple, “Let me take your name and number so our event coordinator can follow up,” would have made all the difference. I’m writing this review not to bash the business — because we truly like Villa Catrina and the staff has been wonderful the times we’ve visited — but to help others set their expectations. If you’re planning to host an event here, make sure you speak directly with the right person from the start so you don’t go through what we did. Hopefully, this feedback also helps management recognize where there’s room for improvement, because this restaurant really does have great potential for family and company events.
The food was so good! I found it to be a little expensive. The service was top notch! I’d go back!

Villa Catrina is decidedly a step up from many other Mexican restaurants in the area. The menu is lengthy and tempting. The food is among the best. I had a three-item combination, each terrific. My wife ordered the Posada Enchiladas, which is one of the best vegetarian Mexican dishes around. The service was excellent, friendly and helpful. The place is not fancy, but it is more than acceptable. There are cheaper Mexican places around, but the prices are reasonable for the quality.

I have always enjoyed the food, drinks and friends. It is our meeting place. The Taco Tuesday is great with handmade tacos.
