This is my family's go-to Korean soft tofu stew joint. The quality is always spot on. I've never been disappointed with their food. I love their oyster soft tofu stew, spicy. I also love their steamed pork belly "saam." It's so good! They have decent "banchan" as well, especially their kim chi. The stone pot rice is delicious, especially pouring in the barley tea to the crusted, savory rice crackling that sticks to the bottom and sides of the stone pot. Most non-Koreans don't know this comfort food secret. Get it next time and eat it at the end of your meal with the broth that forms from it with the leftover banhan. ?

I ordered bulgogi bibimbap and it came out with one slice of beef. It is very overpriced.

Sundubu was exquisite. The tonkatsu was also very similar to the Japanese one and was easy to eat. The rice cooked in a stone oven was delicious. The parking lot is large and easy to park.

Their cold bucket noodle they are serving is definitely spoiled! I had plenty of Korean food before and I knew the difference between cold noodle with a taste of vinegar and food being sour and bad. I did not make a big deal about this at first and reported that to their owner politely but they are extremely rude towards me. Without any apologies or proper explanation, they basically saying I don't know what a cold noodle should taste like because I am not Korean. WTF? ANYONE KNOWS WHAT A SPOILED FOOD TASTE! I will report to the public health department now.

The owner is very. The server already say us down in the a table and my husband is walking at parking lot to the restaurant. He came by and started screaming that he is the owner and he want me to go outside again. The waitress already sited me and my two children but he doesn't care about I have two younger kids and he doesn't care just scream and asking us to leave. WE WILL NEVER GO THERE EVER!!!!!!Just because you are an owner you don't treat people like that!

Food is very good and service is extremely fast! Ambiance is very chill. I have been coming for a long time, and I love their food. I got the BBQ ribs, rice and seafood tofu soup.

Good home style food. Good portions and always comes out sizzling hot. Service could be improved but it's been like that for a while. The chicken is more supple than the beef.

Mediocre. I wasn't too impressed by the side dishes - seemed a bit skimpy and nothing too special. No fish cake or anything special, just basic kimchi and seaweed. Tofu soup had good flavor but even that wasn't too impressive. Overall, ok service and ok overall. May or may not come back. Only good thing was the no wait.

Those beef ribs are really bad. The meat quality is very rough. Also we ordered hot stone bibibap which is subpar quality. I would not recommend this restaurant.

A good choice for Korean food.I've worked out at the LA Fitness in the plaza that Young Dong Tofu is located in for years, and have always noticed it but have never went to try it. I wanted some Soon Du Bu in the past but read the name as Young Dong Tofu Korean BBQ and thought it probably was the same as the other Young Dong Tofu places but was unsure if it might have been a KBBQ variant or some hybrid; I was too lazy to check. Short answer: It isn't. It's a Korean restaurant with some variety of food (Korean Tofu House type of food) and not to be confused with the other type of KBBQ (AYCE or à la carte, where you grill it yourself). One summer night, I decided I wanted cold noodles (Naeng Myeon). It was a little late and this was one of the results that popped up, which gave me a chance to finally try the place out.The food is delicious. My party all got cold noodles and shared an order of LA Galbi / Short Ribs. The Galbi didn't seem like it had much sauce and we thought the flavor might be lacking, but it was flavorful and very tender. The cold noodles were very standard tasting (which is delicious by default) and the spicy cold noodles were similar but I felt better than the original. Side dishes and water were given when we were seated. Each Korean restaurant does their own style for side dishes; I can't remember all of the ones present for us, but it was largely vegetables but they were all good. Judging from the overall meal, I imagine the tofu bowls would be great along with any of the other meat dishes. The interior looks a bit retro and simple and feels very standard looking, like any "hole in the wall" Korean restaurant you would find in K-Town. Nothing bad or great; it's very standard and in my opinon, nice and familiar. The staff were cool. We came in with less than an hour to closing but they said the kitchen was still available. Most restaurants usually close the kitchen an hour early so it was nice that they stay open a little later (Somewhere like 30-45 minutes before closing). They spoke Korean (and the menu had Korean as well) so definitely a big plus for me, as that adds to the authenticity.Pricing feels pretty standard or a bit on the higher side, but for Korean food, it's usually in this range so I feel it's fair. The portions were good, the food is delicious, and the location is in a popular plaza in Arcadia, so I feel it's justified.Location wise if you missed it, it's in the same plaza as LA Fitness, Von's, and a bunch of other places. There's plenty of parking in the back.Overall, solid Korean restaurant for those looking for that craving. The KBBQ part isn't wrong, but I feel that some people will get the wrong impression and think it's the self grill, usually AYCE type KBBQ which it isn't. It's more of the marinated/season meat they cook and serve on a hot plate for you for the KBBQ aspect.

Great service, the food was also great. The place had lots of parking spots. Kinda hard to find but that’s basically it, great experience.
