Super late to the party but finally trying Menya Hanabi!! Been huge fan of Mazesoba and have heard amazing stories about this place. It’s pretty busy on Saturday lunch time but we got the last available table! Ordering was seamless with online order via QR scan. Took awhile until it’s ready, but understandable with the high traffic.

One of my favorite places that I don't get to often enough due to schedule, distance and my low carb diet lol. But when I do I'm in heaven! Brought a first timer and they are smitten! Deluxe mazesoba all the way! While I'm not one who likes vinegar in my noodles unlike hubby who drowns it, the owner convinced me to add it once years ago and it is now a must! It really accentuates the rest of the flavors. Flavors are always excellent and service efficient in a simple but clean...read full review
A friend recommended Menya Hanabi to me, and this was my first time trying mazesoba, which is basically brothless ramen.
I ordered the Deluxe Mazesoba, which comes with chashu and a hard-boiled egg. I really liked the deluxe version because it felt more filling and had a good amount of protein from the minced pork, chashu, and poached egg. The bowl had a lot of flavor, and I ended up finishing the whole thing, so I didn't even get a chance to try the free scoop of rice...read full review

Based on reviews, Menya Hanabi Arcadia serves Nagoya-style mazesoba, which is brothless ramen. The food is quality, and all dishes are great. The Deluxe Mazesoba comes with chashu and a hard-boiled egg, is filling, and has a good amount of protein from minced pork, chashu, and a poached egg. The bowl has a lot of flavor, with seaweed and fish powder adding extra depth, and green onions adding nice texture and freshness. The Deluxe mazemen has great bonito-based flavor with umami like a tonkotsu ramen. The Mentaiko mazesoba is also a standout. The food is too salty for some. The Curry mazemen is less salty, with a curry flavor less sweet than usual Japanese curry, and on the milder side. The restaurant gets busy on weekends and weekday evenings, with a 30+ minute wait and food coming out a little later than expected. It is a place to bring out-of-town guests for a taste of Nagoya.
