Cafe Phoenix has been an Arcata staple for many many years. This women owned cafe is one of the best places to eat in Humboldt. The atmosphere is great and cozy on a rainy winter day and especially nice on the back patio or in the yard while the sun is out. Their food is all organic, and much of it is sourced from local farmers and butchers. The food is good for the gut. And the owner’s recipes are original and tasty. Never disappointed. The food is fresh, local, organic, thoughtful, delicious. The outdoor seating is lovely especially if you have a child or dog. The garden is delightful. Thank you.
The food is great and the restaurant/patio are very cute and cozy. We enjoyed our food a lot in the garden. It’s a bit pricey though and there’s 3% charge on debit/credit cards so I definitely recommend bringing cash.
