“Great bar venue—tasty Mac and cheese too. The bartenders made this place, and they serve some excellent cocktails—often with house-infused alcohol. Goth night was kicking off while we were there and it looked like a fun night. All the staff, including the door person, were really friendly and accommodating.“

The crab cakes were outstanding—packed with jumbo blue crab meat and beautifully prepared. What really elevated the dish was the cream corn accompaniment. Its sweet, creamy richness paired perfectly with the delicate crab. The mango salmon was equally impressive. The sweetness of the mango complemented the salmon perfectly, adding a bright, refreshing contrast that made every bite enjoyable.

The restaurant also offered an excellent wine selection with plenty of options to pair with seafood and other menu items. Will definitely be stopping again on my next trip to Arcata.“

“There's no food here. So don't complain about the food. Do you want to have a nice drink. You want to be able to hear your music on the jukebox? It has four pool tables. Smoke out back. If you don't drink or shot pool, please don't comment on a place that has drinks and pool tables.“

“This bar is great. My husband and I are new to the area. Last time we came we had went to the liquor store next door. And the worker had told me not to try this bar out because it’s ghetto. So when we made it official to move to Humboldt County we went to this bar. And oh boy was the worker next door wrong. I don’t know what he considers ghetto, but this bar is definitely not ghetto!“

“The service and food were both excellent this evening! I was especially looking forward to a good ribeye steak, unfortunately due to a shipment mixup there were no ribeye. However, they upgraded my dinner to a mouth-watering filet at no charge. Needless to say, I was not disappointed! We also got the rack of lamb and the table-side ceaser salad. Everything was excellent, and I can't wait to come here again!“
