I’m really sorry for this review … but I have to be honest. Please let me preface this with how hard I know people in the food industry work. However, I have been going to this place for 35 years. We decided to buy wings today to take home. This establishment actually charged me a “Service Fee” $13.70 and a fee to use my card $2.47 when I was buying almost 100 worth of food. I was basically told the charge is for parties of 6 or more dining in (completely reasonable)and TAKE OUT ORDERS? So I asked her, “If the two of us sat down and ate it at the establishment…would it be at our discretion what to tip for the service? (and I always tip generously ) The answer is yes.I was so disgusted that they charged me a “Service Fee” and a card fee while buying $80 in food with two people to go. Charged me these fees and didn’t even tell me they were going to. Is it just me ? ? It’s not the staffs fault but, I’ll never return. Oh by the way…they threw 2 quarter pieces of celery for good measure. Total of 24 wings and a fry for almost 100!!! I do have to say they gave me a refund and apologized but, how many people does this happen to? Inflation and hard times is one thing but….

This was an amazing experience. My best friend and I saw Sleepytime Gorilla Museum here and im truly impressed by not just the venue and the vibe, but by the bar itself. I can't deny, I did have a hard time getting the first beer cause I kept getting skipped, but after that, subsequent beers were perfectly ordered and poured.Thank you HumBrews!! I'll be back in the summer!

No, never again. garlic fries??? Fries TOSSED with yummy garlic, maybe some chopped parsley, lil salt?? Hell no!! Not here, effing stoner cooks! I got a plate full of overcooked fries with literally a couple tablespoons of jarred minced garlic mounded on top. How the F are you supposed to eat that...? Effing stoner cooks...TG my kid was with me or I would have make a huge fuss so gross...zero stars for me "barf"

Yesterday was my first time going to Humboldt brews and I'm never going back. I specifically went to drink and I asked the waiter where on the menu were the drinks he pointed the the QR code. I saw only beers but I prefer mixed drinks once he came around again I asked if there was a menu for a drink. I don't have a go to drink I like to try different ones. He responded back like I was an idiot that that was all he can give me and apologized for not being fancy enough but mentioned they were a bar. Implying they can make anything. I asked if they had a menu since I searched up the place and saw a picture of a cocktail list it's not a reach they might have a menu. I asked for two specific drinks said they didn't have the flavors or a blender after googling some drinks. He offered a margarita I said why not. I didn't suggest that one since usually they're blended, I was given a lime margarita. I asked for a strawberry for the second round. He said they didn't have strawberry syrup. He said it was a bar yet they can't make a simple strawberry margarita. I find it ridiculous he couldn't tel me what they couldn't do since the options were limited. I've honestly never been talked to rudely before mostly when I was just asking a simple question.

Terrible service ruined it... We've been going to Humbrews for years and then didn't at all in 23' just due to busy schedules. Decided to take some friends from out of town there on their last day and our group of 6 (including myself) unfortunately had the rudest waitress. She rolled her eyes when our guests had questions, slammed things down, and was very impatient. We were all polite, thanked her each time she brought stuff over, and have waited tables before, so know it can get hectic, but honestly there was only one other small group in the restaurant. At one point when the wife asked for a fork (she hadn't had one to start with) the waitress yelled "I already gave you one!" and we got silent and were just like wtf? 20% tip was included unfortunately. She actually tried to tell us it wasn't to get more! I would say Humbrews would be ok for takeout but the food went down in quality too, very over-salted and the wings are more expensive, yet not as good as they used to be.

Great selection of drinks, whether it's brews or non-alcoholic options-- plus delicious pub food that's a bit more elevated than what you typically see. They have ample tv's if you're there for a game, plus kind service from the staff. Great spot in Arcata

Nice little gastropub with both a bar/restaurant area and a venue space. Good place to grab a drink and some pub fare or come to see local and up and coming musical acts. Would recommend.

I love frequenting HumBrews! There wings are a favorite. I wish they would put an ashtray outside though because customers throw their cigarette butts outside on the ground next to the water drain which drains into our local waterway. This makes me sad but I still love going here.
