Fantastic soft serve: dairy-free is amazing and hits that ice cream spot. Espresso is also fantastic. The art is fun and the atmosphere family-friendly. Favorite place to take my niece and nephew. Vegan ice cream can be hard to come by. Vegan soft serve? Forget about it.But this guy makes the best soft serve I've EVER had. No joke, when people ask me my favorite dessert, I say redwood yogurt's non dairy vanilla.And it's just vanilla!! Not a top flavor of mine usually but it's the only non dairy option he's got. But it doesn't matter one bit!The vanilla bean is rich and invigorating, the ice cream itself is silky smooth and so creamy, you'd never know it wasn't the traditional cow's milk. I believe he makes it with almond milk. And don't forget a waffle cone! They're vegan too and go perfectly with the soft serve.The space itself is awesome too. Unique and eclectic seating, a piano to play if you like, local artwork all over the walls, and dozens of flyers so you can pursue local events. The guy who runs this place is kind and hardworking, a bit of an enigma. Maybe a soft serve sorcerer? Don't miss out on this Arcata gem! :)

Redwood Yogurt is a part of our community. That place has been here forever, and it's my personal favorite of the yogurt shops in Humboldt as both a kid and adult (but of course, taste is subjective). I like most of the flavors and he gives me samples of new ones so it's a great life. They seem like good honest people, and I appreciate that.

Great frozen yogurt and fresh made waffle cones. There are some regular flavors, and new ones are rotated in regularly. Also... friendly service, a piano to play, and new art to look at each month.

Popped into the shop on a whim, first time being there. Wanted to see what they had to offer and upon asking if the shop was self-serve or not, the rude old white guy that people have mentioned before (owner possibly?), simply said no and ignored me further on. Was given weird looks by him and 3 other old while fellows when I walked in, so maybe it was just racism? Not the first time I've dealt with such passive-aggressive bigotry in Arcata. Or ageism? Not sure, but either way, never coming here again. Doesn't look like they have much of a selection anyways aside from typical, bland flavors like vanilla.
