Staff is friendly and the atmosphere is to d i e for. Great spot to catch light jazz, bumpin' electronica, or drag shows! It's a classy spot so drinks are priced to match, but in a way it just makes me wanna wear something fancy whenever Im there. I hope to see them partner with their fellow Jacoby tenants Havana on an event soon.

Great place ! They always have good music playing. If you go during the week many times no cover. Cover fee on weekends is usually pretty affordable too. Music is always good and the dancing is fun.

What a lovely place! I always bring my friends and visitors and dance all night. Nice variety of seating. Great music, drinks, setup, and vibes. Conveniently located on the plaza.
Drinks include local brews, international imports, and tasty non-alcoholic beverages too.
They were kind enough to allow us to use their venue for Brianna & Christian's engagement session. The Basement is a hidden gem in Arcata.

It is an enjoyable space to chat with others closer to open or be impressed by performances from local and traveling talent until close. My only suggestion for The Basement is a few more drink options, but there is something for everyone.
