“In Hanford, Ca., there are a few authentic Mexican food options. Jalisco is a simple walk up counter where you order your food exactly the way you want it. Burritos, taquitos (get there early), tamales, carnitas etc. Their Burritos are huge and include beans, rice, salsa (you can get this on the side) and your choice of meats or Chile Verde. Simple tasty food. It's one of the best options for a quick lunch. There are no tables available here so don't plan for a sit down. Try this out when you're looking for a tasty lunch. They're right at the end of main street near 10th Ave.“

“Based solely on their carne asada tacos, I was there for a burrito but they said they had ran out of everything except for carne asada tacos and it was seven p.m, I was pretty skeptical but after biting into their carne asada taco with nothing on it just meat it was heaven ??? lol they got that greasy tortilla that gives it the extra flavor meat was well seasoned Soo good, not a fan of the red sauce or the cabbage on the tacos luckily I only ordered 2 regular and the rest without any toppings I wish they had the burrito tho, we'll be back and hopefully I'll get my burrito, My search continues for that San Diego style burrito taste“

“When we were told the Birria Pizza was a must have, we were excited to try it. The pizza was made with three layers of a large tortilla and two layers of oodles of meat with onions and cilantro sprinkled in. The final layer is cheese on the top. The guacamole we got on the side was a perfect topper. Beware...the red hot sauce was REALLY hot! We highly recommend trying the Birria Pizza.“

“Hands down the BEST breakfast burrito I’ve ever had—no competition! I ordered mine with beans, rice, cheese, eggs, potatoes, and chorizo, all wrapped up with green salsa inside, and it was absolute perfection. Every bite was packed with flavor and the balance of textures was spot-on. The chorizo was savory, the eggs were fluffy, the potatoes perfectly cooked—it’s everything you want in a burrito and then some. And don’t even get me started on the hot sauce on the side…just ask and they will deliver.

To top it all off, the ladies at the front are insanely sweet—like sunshine in human form.“

“The carne asada at La Parrilla is grilled to perfection. Their carnitas and buches have a great taste. If you are not a fan of super spicey salsa I would recommend the green salsa because their red salsa has a great kick to it but on the spicey side. The people here are very friendly and the lady at front is always very cheerful.“

“Located inside a little grocery store. I got the tacos de asada and they were absolutely delicious! My spouse got the barbacoa tacos and carnitas taco and also loved them. Probably the best tortillas I’ve ever had. The jamaica was not as sweet as I prefer but still tasted great!
The dining area was a little dirty and felt like a mall food court but the food made up for that. The service however, was excellent! Everyone who worked there was really nice and helpful!“

“I've been eating in and taking out at El Grullo for years. I often take advantage of their daily/weekly specials. Today, 6/13/24 is burritos for $6. I had a carnitas burrito and fountain drink. Thanks, El Grullo, for your consistently providing good food, service, and atmosphere.

“The tacos were firee 🔥 only complaint is the quesa birria tacos were tiny for 4$ its your regular street tacos size. Im ised to them being a bit larger than the regular tacos. Also, the cashier said it came with consume but i did not get any. Aside from that; the tacos were great! I got asada, barbacoa, and queasabirria tacos.“

“I am a foodie visiting Hanford from San Diego. I was very skeptical about this restaurant, however, I really wanted Mexican food and El Tarasco was one of the fiew open (outdoor dining tables). I was shocked with the quality I received. The chile rellenos are EXCELLENT (my benchmark----a fresh grilled pepper, high quality cheese, and not at all greasy). The margaritas were first-class, made in the restaurant rather than some inspid mix. They were $11 which is steep (especially for Hanford) but they are nearly twice the size of other, and they were served in a gorgeous Mexican hand blown glass. The servers were very friendly....always stopping to check if I needed anything. The only negative were the chips. They fry them there but I'm not keen on the actual tortilla they use......it didn't have a lot of flavor. This place is the real-deal winner. Bravo!“
