I wish I could give this place more stars, because I was really hoping to love this place. We were here for a celebration, and was really hoping to have a lovely meal. We even drove from Folsom to try this place. When we arrived, we noticed that the restaurant looked different from the photos, and the menu was more limited then online. Waited a long time to get water and menus, we were there at 5:00 and the place was empty. The best thing about our visit was our server though...
Awesome food in a very beautiful space! The chef and crew prepares the most fabulous food! And the mixed drinks were fantastic. Service was great, friendly and fast, and we were never wanting. Mains were all perfect, shrimp corn dogs were delicious, and the carmel cheese cake and butter cake were sublime!
The Monkey Cat is one of my favorite spots in Auburn. The vibe’s chill yet fancy. They have a cute little bar. My only complaint would be to have a bigger bourbon selection! But i'm a snob that way. The food has always been yummy and the staff have great attitudes. I love this place.
