*Normally* pretty good, which is why this is frustrating. I ordered a green goddess avocado salad and asked to make sure there was no meat. First time I got it (after waiting ~15 minutes in the drive thru) there was chicken and bacon. Went in and asked for no meat, and they got me a new salad, got home and there was a ton of tiny bits of minced bacon all over the bottom side of my container and impossible to get out without washing the whole salad. I can't eat meat as it makes me very sick. By the time I found this, they were closed. Quite frustrating to wait so long for food I can't eat, and then to receive a remake that I also can't eat for the same reason it was remade in the first place. Probably will still end up coming back eventually, but I'll just make sure not to order anything that has items that need to be substituted or removed so I can eat it without pain.

Had a very good experience. Workers here are nice and helpful. Food is consistent. Lines are busier during lunch, but it’s easy to order through the app. Bathrooms are always clean, so that’s a plus too!

Got the broccoli cheddar soup and the staff was really nice. Asked for a cup of ice and they were willing to give it, so I appreciated that as well. Highly recommend!

Panera ain’t what it used to be. Expensive, dirty tables, and they are being cheap with the air conditioning. Super hot inside here. This is the new America. Oh well.

KENNEDY in the drive thru was SO sweet, I was being a total pain with my order and she was a champ, she and DANI the manager on duty made darn sure we got what Grandma wanted, they went above and beyond just getting some soup. Thank you ladies! 👏🏼

I don’t mind paying $55 for lunch (and we all had water to drink) for three people at a sandwich and soup corporate fast food chain. What is unfortunate is that the chicken is rubbery and the place is dirty. It’s about 60 degrees inside also.
There are at least 8 employees working and maybe 10 customers having lunch. Plenty of tables inside and out.
After paying for my lunch order (which suggested I tip prior to eating) I had to clean my table with dry napkins before I sat down. I actually had to ask for napkins to clean my table because the napkins were all empty. Then a young employee came and abruptly said in a slightly irritated tone, “do you want me to clean this table?” I said, sure! She used her dirty wet towel and first wiped down the seats, then wiped down the table!? People’s butts were on those seats! And she soaked them. Then she slathered that dirty wet towel all over my eating surface! She said, “there ya go.”
I was like? Seriously!?
Does anyone train these people?
What’s really the draw to this place? The soup was okay, the salad was okay, the chicken was rubbery and restaurant was dirty and freezing. They have a self serve ordering kiosk so you don’t really even have to speak to anyone who works there.
My experience was lacking to say the least. For 55$ I could make some great sandwiches, soup and salad for quite a few people.

I have been a Panera's customer for over 15 years.
Lately, I go to the Auburn, (Bell Road), CA location.
Last evening, I got a take out, but decided to sit down there and enjoy my sandwich. When I got to the table, I noticed that I had the wrong sandwich, BECAUSE, by MY mistake, I ordered the wrong sandwich. A girl who works making the sandwiches (I failed to get her name), saw me back at the cashier and asked what was wrong with my order. I told her that I got the wrong sandwich, and I would be more than happy to pay for the right one. I was looking at the menu and trying to figure out the sandwich that I really wanted, she asked me a couple of questions to help me, and BAM! She got it figured out!
I made sure that I would be more than happy to pay for a new one, since it was my mistake. She asked me to wait, and brought to my table the right sandwich. I was really touched by her kindness and willingness to provide me a good experience. She also said that I was nice, and I was one of a few people who did not yell at her today.
This broke my heart... These people are working hard, making delicious food and offering a very warm and friendly service. What kind of person yells at a person who is providing a service?
What kind of person yells at a person who making your food, so you can have a good experience?
To all the people who yell at people doing their best at their job: Do you know what you deserve? You deserve a flat tire on a rainy and cold day...
Panera Bread Auburn, CA area: Thank you for your friendly service, hard work and great food, ALWAYS!
