We ordered a Buffalo milk drink and a swordfish sandwich. We liked it, the fish was so jucy. But the most I liked the atmosphere inside. Great feeling. Recommend.

I love the interior design and the vibes! I was like wow..! This is so cool!! You can seat booth and look out the window and relax, you can see all the blue skies and sea views from your seat!! The food portion was very enough for 2 people, we ordered the larry’s sandwich and fish and chips!

Fun location in the heart of beachfront Avalon. A mixture of bar and dining location. Many kids around and had a decent kid's menu so not 100% bar for sure. The homemade clam chowder was excellent. Service was a bit slow but very polite and attentive.Parking: Parking is around the corner. None in front of the restaurant.

We had a little time before catching the ferry back to home port so we decided to stop by Luau Larry's. The atmosphere is fun and the service was quick. The bartender welcomed us in and said to sit anywhere we would like. We sat in a booth with a view of the water and some people watching. We aren't really into the sweet sugary drinks so we ordered a beer and I wanted to try their swordfish taco. The beer was cold and the swordfish taco was really good !! Great for a light snack! My overall rating is a 3 1/2 but based on the fun tiki bar atmosphere and good service I upgraded it to a 4. Fun place to stop for a cold drink.

his was our first time on Catalina Island and we definitely knew we wanted seafood . Luau Larry's was inviting compared to all the other restaurants who wouldn't greet us when we would walked in . We ordered 2 round of oysters , good quality and satisfying. The waitresses customer service was very good . We sat in this Little Rock booth area . It was cute and gave us the privacy and we enjoyed it there . The bathrooms were clean that's a plus. I will definitely recommend this place.

Food was great, filling. We finally found our seafood fix on the island. It was amazing. We were a little taken aback when we were brought bottled water when we asked for water. It's clear when you ask for water, you mean tap -- that's the way it works in all of America. Anyway, the bottled water unfortunately wasn't cold and obviously wasn't refilled (this might be by design). I was almost going to take the cost of the bottled waters out of the tip, and might have said it out too loudly, but thankfully we weren't charged for the bottled waters. Not sure what to think about the whole sequence of events. We would have just preferred to be served normal iced tap waters like the other 100,000 restaurants all over the US.
