The food was very average. The service was slow. One table that was seated at exactly the same time as mine placed their order, receive their food, and was finished eating before we even placed our order.

The atmosphere was really nice. Service was relatively good. Food was cafeteria grade.

As a vegetarian, I would skip this place.

The chips and salsa is not what one would expect. The chips are stale and the salsas are about average.

The Pico de Gallo had no jalapeno and lime 🍋‍🟩, that's weird.

The Chile Rellano tasted good but had very little cheese filled in.

The rice is not that great. It felt as if it was made of overnight rice.

Had a great lunch! Drinks were tasty I had the tamarindo margarita 🤪 taquitos guacamole all good! So much better than any of the food on the main strip that I had previously!

Cool indoor out door vibe. Service was slow and impersonal. Food was canned, low quality, NOT authentic

Horrible food and horrible service!
I don't think I ever had guacamole that bad. It tasted as if a whole bag of salt fell in. When we told the waiter, who in general did a very poor job, he tried to argue that it's just what it always tastes like (did he try it before he put it on our plate?) and told the chef. While he did that, he did in Spanish (we obviously didn't speak their language), and it sounded as if they were just making fun of us and calling us names.
They didn't even offer fresh guac, or an apology.
Besides that, the rest of the food was just horrible, too. Especially when you walk into a restaurant that seems "authentic" at first. The burrito was just soggy and old and simply Del Taco in huge, but worse quality.

My first impression when we got to our table was bad, so we should have just left. It was almost empty and the waiter seemed to hate his life.

I guess the place is good for drinks like any other place around. The food was no good, disappointing. We tried the fish options and it wasn’t good. Fish had no flavor. Felt like frozen. We were hoping we would get fresh fish. Service was late. We waited 45+ mins to get our food. I think they were short staffed. So much crowd but less people to serve.
Would not recommend.
We only liked the Poblano soup.
Atmosphere is good.

We love Mi Casita. It's an employee owned local restaurant with a great menu choice and drinks menu. So close to the beach. Our favorite place on the island for mexican food. Service was quick and very nice. Chips and salsa are for charge and bottled water is the norm on Catalina.

Vegetarian options: They have cheese enchiladas...chille rellenos...quesadillas, and veggie fajitas.
