The food portions are generous, FRESH POTATO hash browns, Decently priced. Thank you for a delicious start to our day.

Arrived, was busy but got seated almost immediately. Ambiance is ok but we were out front in the patio enjoying the views. What an amazing way to wake up and enjoy a cup of joe. The menu isn't too difficult to order from. We got exactly what we were craving and then some. Omelets are nice and thick with a fair amount of cheese. We ordered a custom and of the ingredients we got, there was plenty and they were yummy. We had ordered onion too but I guess they were out or something. Bloody mary's are delicious. Pancakes are super fluffy and perfectly balanced just like mom's. Can't go wrong here.

Good service with decent views depending on where you are seated. Nice, quiet place for breakfast after arriving. The bacon and sausages were pretty good.

Service here has good intention; however, some odd obstacles were in the way. I asked for a refill, and it was denied. Items ordered and received are somewhat undercooked and lacked seasoning. Moreover, my meal had missing items the menu mentions. Allow me to guess - Oh, we don’t do that either. I’m sensing it’s to protect supplies. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this joint.

The food was okay, good, but nothing great. Our server was nice and attentive. I think it's rated so high on Google due to the lack of breakfast options.

Not a fan at all . I was very disappointed with my experience. I ordered the salmon eggs Benedict, and unfortunately, the salmon was overcooked. My boyfriend’s eggs ranchero was completely drenched in sauce, overwhelming the meal. The only highlight was the cinnamon roll pancake — it was fluffy and delicious, easily the best part of our visit. The service was poor, and the restaurant felt extremely crowded and cramped, making it hard to enjoy breakfast. Overall, I would not recommend this place and I definitely wouldn’t return.

Visiting Catalina for a long weekend and of the three breakfast places that we tried this was our favorite of the three. It has a beautiful location right across from Avalon Bay so you have a great view of the water while dining. It was quite busy when we arrived for our 9:30 Friday morning breakfast but we didn’t have to wait very long. They have a pretty large menu filled with a lot of great options and the other diners around us seemed like they were enjoying their meal as well. Pricing is fair and our server was very polite. The restaurant is actually larger on the inside than it looks on the outside so there are plenty of seating options.

The food was pretty good, not quite as good as the breakfast you will get over in the mainland, but for a little island breakfast spot it was really enjoyable. For my meal I ordered the Chorizo Sizzler and enjoyed it. I wish there would have been more chorizo and a little bit less onions but still overall it was a really nice meal. I also got a coffee and thought it was strong and tasty. I would recommend to anyone visiting the island and I would stop in again next time I visit Catalina.

Pancake Cottage is a VERY popular place for breakfast. If you get there early (before the ferry’s start coming in) you have a better chance of getting a table.
The line outside gets long.
Prices are ok.
Staff are nice and can be quick with service.
We split a pancake combo (2 pancakes, 3 slices of bacon and scrambled eggs. It was good.
They don’t serve booze

All employees, especially the chef, are not satisfied with their work, which reflects in the food and service quality. The environment seems more focused on everything except the restaurant itself. The food is lacking, poorly presented, and tastes bad.

A note to the staff and kitchen: All those who come to your restaurant for breakfast and meals are on their holidays and break time, so you shouldn't feel like you're working hard while they are relaxing
