The food is always good here. Perfect spot to enjoy the scenery of Avalon Harbor while eating breakfast.

Every time we asked a local where to eat breakfast, they recommended Pancake Cottage and after eating there, we have no idea why. The food was bland and the inside has no vibe. After walking around, we saw so many other breakfast spots that could have been such a better pick.

Breakfast was yummy! Service was amazing! I had the chilaquiles and they were very tasty but they were spicy which I really liked. The salsa had really good flavor. I was not a fan of the rice though. It didn’t have much flavor. My husband had the waffle with eggs, bacon and sausage. He really liked the waffle and said the sausage was delicious.

We ordered burgers. Frozen burgers, old bread, old lettuce. We customized the burger and they brought the wrong one. Ride waiter. Took forever to get some napkins and our bills. Tables were dirty and maple syrup was all over the bar area.

Food was fine but the service was really bad. Front desk service and also the server they were both extremely rude. Staff should be taught how to behave and have some basic manners and not be racist.

Got the Traditional Benedict and the eggs were poached perfectly, but the muffin was burnt, so all I could taste was burnt bread, wife had the chicken n waffles, chicken was cooked very well, but had zero flavor, waffles were excellent. No frills and not bad, but 4.75 for club soda, c’mon guys. That’s just ridiculous.

The food was delicious and the restaurant is very close to the Ferry location. It also has a beautiful view and excellent customer service.

Chorizo skillet was good. Pancakes were gummy and the potatoes were not cooked thoroughly. Service was poor since waiter only dropped of food but never came back to check on us. Had to go to the front desk for the bill. Decorations are bare, but the bar looks nice.

Was just there and ordered the BLT with avocado and asked them to put cheese on it and grill it, I guess that was just way too complicated, the waiter sat there and argued with me that they’re busy back there and don’t have time for that, so I said OK just cancel the sandwich and he said OK perfect and walked away and then I went to the counter and said that’s not how you treat your customers… you give them what they want you’re nice about it instead of just being like oh OK and not giving a shit! I would never recommend this place. It took forever to wait to get a table and then we sat there for about 10 minutes before the guy came over to say hello with offer us drinks! Terrible!

We had a party of 8. The service was a little slow but the servers were very nice. Most everyone enjoyed their food and we ordered sandwiches and breakfast items. The biscuits and gravy was a little under done and not hot when served, and while delicious the eggs Benedict was just warm. The sandwiches were great and we enjoyed the cottage sandwich, tuna salad and BLTA sandwiches too.

Went to the restaurant for a late breakfast/early lunch and there were plenty of empty tables. However, they wouldn’t seat us until our party was all there. My party finally all arrived and they moved us from a table prepared in the front room to one in the side room in the corner away from everyone else. We sat for about 15-20 min and no one came over to take our order. Meanwhile, other people seated after we were who were closer to the entrance were getting immediate service. Overall, it was frustrating and we left. No one in the front apologized and they clearly didn’t care. Customer service is definitely lacking.
