I live on the east side of Bakersfield. Athenas is on the west side. It’s not in an area I normally frequent. I found it and it look like a little hole in the wall restaurant, but I had a meeting about 45 minutes after I found it, and I was starved.When the food reached my table, I was amazed at how fantastically tasty it was. I use the past tense because the food did not live long on my plate.Anyone who is interested more in the food that in the location, will not be disappointed...

Given we only had the gyro fries and the lemon potatoes. Yet, that alone was plenty enough to feed two adults and a baby.The setup and decorations created a true Greek atmosphere. I was very happy about all the dishes and photos because it have me an experience instead of just the food. All be it the small area for eating, they utilized the space well.Food was delicious! Today was my 2nd time coming and they have the best food. Love coming here when I’m around the area it’s my go to. The service is excellent and the food is fresh & delicious! 10/10 coming back again and again
