Real mixed reviews on this place. Starting with the food, I would like to start by saying I understand that it is a Japanese/ Mexican fusion restaurant. What I don't understand is why my 22 dollar Sashimi was drowned in lemon juice and had a jalapeño slice with Sriracha on it. How do you mess up a dish that is just plain raw fish? Their fusion rolls, on the other hand, were awesome. Their aguachiles roll was perfect, not overdoing it on any of the flavors but just right to capture both essences of mexican and sushi combined. The rocky special was also a hit for me, super fresh, great combination of flavor and mouth feel, and a light lingering spiciness from the fried garlic and chile oil. Now, about the service, I'll keep it short and sweet. The lady avoided us for a majority of the time we were there and only seemed really helpful or nice when she brought the check. Apparently, this place has a crazy nightlife club side to it, too, but this is solely reviewing as a restaurant nothing more.

The food was decent. Not terrible! It was good, there are definitely better sushi places in Bakersfield. However, they won me over with the good service. The waitress served me a double tequila that wasn't very good. They replaced it no questions asked. Our waitress checked in on us frequently and the food came out quick. Good experience, we definitely would like to try different things on the menu next time around.

My bestfriend and I went to celebrate her birthday and this was my first time going. When we first were seated it took a little bit before we were ever greeted by our sever. She wasn’t attentive to us as she were to her other tables and walked past plenty of times without asking if we needing anything and she knew it was a special night because we told her we were celebrating a birthday from the beginning. We ordered our drinks shortly after our food and our drinks sat at the bar for over 20 minutes, by the time we were almost done eating we barely received our drinks. I asked to speak to the manager and I thought when we spoke to him he would take care of us like he said but I felt like not enough was done after our night was ruined! Most the time I sat without a refill on my water and it’s the little things like that. I work in customer service so I know it can get busy at times but still felt ignored the whole night and it’s unfortunate that it happened on my bestfriend’s birthday!

Atmosphere was pretty as always. The waiter was not rude but not polite either. Maybe he was having an off day. The food is not what it use to be. My chicken was burnt and my food was barely warm. My husband had the shrimp teriyaki and his shrimp seemed undercooked. I'm disappointed and I don't think I would return or recommend this place anymore.

I will say I have not made this a priority to come this place but first and forth the most this place is popping. Not like most traditional sushi places are super quiet it had a good vibe people were lively music was going on lots of drinks and I will say the sashimi was okay but hands down this the aguas Chile roll was amazing!!! Game changer

Went in for late lunch. The place was semi busy. The atmosphere is a little dark inside, but nice. Got seated right away and our server was attentive. I got the 661 roll and my husband had the deseo roll, which was very good. The tuna was fresh, and it was filling. Also had the spicy edemame and it was delicious!!
