We live in Rosedale so this place is across town for us. Tons of Mexican restaurants much closer. This is now our absolute favorite Mexican restaurant. Very reasonable prices. I challenge everyone to find a better tasting Chile Verde. The spiciness is right on!

Very old school atmosphere.Mexican Food with traditional flavors.Service was good since it was our first visit and we were early diners our server was attentive. Though once the regulars came in we were unnoticed. If you want newcomers to return you need to remember to be extra attentive so they are return customers. Overall the food was very good and we will return.

Carne Asada fries only had cheese and asada I had to pay extra for sour cream and guacamole The chile relleno was decent but if you want tortillas they are 75 cents each good customer service though We will not be returning

Casa Muñoz in Bakersfield is an excellent choice for Mexican food. We got there before the dinner rush but it didn’t take long to nearly fill the place after we had been there a short while. I went with the dinner special, the most excellent Chicken Pozole Verde in the medium bowl. M’wah! She had three large-size Fish Tacos with rice and beans; also great. Margaritas were tasty and effective. Service was very good and friendly. Highly recommended.

Ordered chicken mole, tasted like can mole, ordered corn dog for grandson, was served completely frozen inside, the carne asada tacos had a green sauce that smelled like rotten cheese and tasted as it smelled. I think it was past due. You’d think after expressing all these concerns I’d get a discount of some sort but no, I was charged full price for food that was way under full quality. Never going back and will tell all my family and friends about this unworthy place.
This place is consistently good. From the time we walked in until we left we were treated by friendly efficient people. Our waiter greeted us promptly and gave us enough time to figure out what we wanted. He made sure our drinks were always full. And he checked in with us the appropriate amount of times. The food was absolutely delicious. Over the years it’s just as good as it used to be. The margaritas were excellent. One of my favorite places to order them in town. The price was reasonable and we love going there. There are lots of places to go to get Mexican food, but this is one of the best.

I had a craving for some albondigas and called a few places for prices and this place was the least expensive. So me and my fiancé ordered albondigas expecting a nice hot delicious bowl and to our surprise it was just a bowl of meatballs in broth no veggies in it. Told the waitress and she said you have to ask to have them put into the soup. This is ridiculous never heard of any restaurant doing that. My fiancé didn’t eat his and complained to the waitress so he paid for one. Never going back to this place AGAIN!!
