First and foremost it's the only place that I know of where you can get a vanilla latte 20 ounce for $5. The cashier was very nice. I also had the peaches and cream and I highly recommend it. It's just a nice and relaxing place to just sit and enjoy a cup of coffee and people watch.

In an era of wildly inflated restaurant prices, it’s hard to be satisfied with your dish arriving cold and your eggs undercooked despite 3 attempts by the cook. Coffee and matcha latte were pretty decent though.

Ive been here a couple of times and have always been greeted by the barista and service was quick. Very spacious and places to sit The only down side from my experience is the lack consistency every time I get my coffee.

Coffee was good - but it’s the first time in my life I had an espresso in a mug ???Food is ok but our order took a long time to prepare. Not happy with the service, one of the girls was simply rude and should not be working in hospitality IMHO or needs to up her customer service skills.

What a great dog friendly breakfast spot. Service was quick. Staff very friendly. Food was great and just what we needed. Avocado Smash probably one of the best I have had. Breakfast Sandwich was great and full of eggs and bacon and cheese. Ambiance was bright and clean.

I can't tell what i like more, the water, or the butter. Food and ambiance lived up to the menu presentation and kept a nice blend of flavors. The country potato's were exceptionally crispy and the sausage links were different, but enjoyable with their unique texture and flavoring.

Located on the first floor of The Padre, I tried Farmacy one day while staying at the hotel. The employees were very nice and welcoming. I decided to try something new and ordered a spiked Mexican coffee (tequila, cream, cinnamon). Note - if you order a spiked drink, you have to drink it inside (you can't take it to go as it has alcohol). The spiked Mexican coffee was good, no complaints. Not a bad choice for coffee/pastries if you don't want to leave the hotel!

Meanwhile @ the Farmacy Cafe located inside the Padre Hotel a perfect coffee experience happened.I decided to slither in to the Farmacy Cafe to process emails and phone messages alike.I’ve had a cup already and try to limit myself but in ordering a blah day sugar cookie, I asked for an Italian style Capp.Best Cappuccino since I had access to both machine and my choice of roaster. It’s actually better and climbing the charts for the best to be completely candid.Avery is only a kid yet compliments the industry with a true fervor for creating “the perfect coffee experience. A dyed in the wool professional. Already a master barista by my standards. Just watching his expert tamp and pour stepped up Bakersfield’s coffee status in my humble opinion. If you like coffee and have history with coffee shops as a business, the lesson will humble you as well.I didn’t have to wait but a couple minutes and I would stand in a long line for this coffee. The most excellent customer service was the b-day party sprinkles on a craft sugar cookie. He brings his own equipment to step up the game here. Pretty impressive this day and age. Service industry has hope after all. Avery loves his work and we are fortunate that it’s Coffee.

A lovely place for a weekday downtown breakfast meeting! The acai bowl was light yet filling. And the iced latte with oat milk was refreshing. Parking directly in front was full, but there was ample free parking (with no time limit) just a block away. Service was friendly and prices were high average.

Not what I expected (a breakfast diner)... but a fun surprise (a nice coffee shop with a kitchen to make some quality food options)! This is a coffee shop at the bottom of the Padre Hotel, next to the post office. They have some pastries in a case. And they have a menu of several breakfast meals (acai, oats, avocado toast, skillet, etc.) and sides (fruit, bacon, sausage, etc.). I ordered a skillet and was very happy with it. I tend to order skillets for breakfast, and this one was on the smaller side but it was adequately filling. This skillet is by far the most unique (in a good way) and flavorful skillet I've ever had! I'm gluten-free & dairy-free, and they didn't bat an eye about making sure my skillet would be safe for me. I also ordered a chai. They use Tazo concentrate, and offer alternate milk options. So this was another win for my gluten-free dairy-free self! It's a nice looking, classy (cloth napkins & quality silverware - yay!), and totally unassuming cafe. The drinks are great! The food is phenomenal! Price is nice. The service was friendly and quick. What more could I want in a coffee shop?! I'll definitely be back!

The staff ignore you as you wait to place your order at the counter. Avocado toast was lame (egg had clear goo and it was all tasteless) but the unfriendly atmosphere is enough to keep me away in the future.

Would never come back. Rude and unprofessional staff. Attempted to order a cup of coffee. I was ignored. Another lady walks up and they immediately provide her service. I politely said she could go next and waited. They make in his 20’s with the tattoo on the back of his left arm refuses to acknowledge or serve me. I have no idea what I did to make them treat me so horribly. I will not be coming back here to patronize this hotel or this coffee shop. They should take lessons from the staff next door.

Steer clear of this hotel cafe. Nothing they make is good. The service is terrible and extremely slow. The last time I went, I just decided to leave without my tea, because who expects a cup of tea to take more than 10 minutes? They need to get additional help at the very least to get orders out faster. Another woman came downstairs while I was waiting for my tea, she ordered her coffee 30 minutes earlier through room service, and it still wasn’t ready. They had to make it for her on the spot. It’s ridiculous. They also need to hire a new chef. Pick up whoever is making the food back. There isn’t doing a great job.
