We had an incredible family lunch today at Jun BBQ, and it completely exceeded our expectations. The moment we walked in, the place was buzzing with energy. A consistent flow of hungry diners, a true sign of how loved this spot is.
The Chinese cuisine was absolutely delicious, and the dim sum was nothing short of superb. Every bite was rich with flavor and perfectly prepared. The service was top-tier, attentive without being overbearing, and it elevated the entire experience.
Overall, Jun BBQ delivered a memorable dining experience we won’t soon forget. We’re already looking forward to coming back and indulging in those amazing flavors again soon. Price point was spot on and worth every penny.

Was a small stall in the farmer’s market before they opened their store front. Happy to see them open up a shop. Small location, about 4-5 tables. So get here early if you want lunch or dinner! Wait times are also not too bad.
Food is really good! only place I know in Bakersfield where you can get quality XLB and the beef noodle soup.
That being said, since the soup dumplings are the star of the show, I wish they’d steam them appropriately. The last couple times I’ve been here, the soup was completely gone from the dumplings, because of over steaming, I presume, or the fact that they are frozen and then steamed to cook.
Coming from LA, din tai fung and ixlb definitely sets the standards. So I’d expect soup to be inside the dumpling when I take a bite, for that price. I wish they also had shredded ginger available for the dumplings. Huge miss they don’t offer this. Hopefully they can fix it. Other than that everything else was pretty spot on! Would recommend and will probably eat here again.

My eyes were larger than my stomach, but the food was amazing. You might need to bring a friend or two to finish the food. I’m glad to know I have lunch figured out for the next two days. I ordered soup dumplings and the sautéed spicy green beans. The meal was phenomenal. It tasted like a good home cooked meal. It was warm, flavorful, and inviting!
I arrived and was pleasantly greeted. I waited close to 5 minutes for a seat. I looked over the menu. I ordered lamb skewers and spicy beef noodle soup. The lamb skewers were not available so I substituted having the tooth pick Lamb rice which was really good. The spicy beef noodle soup lacked flavor and spice. The total price of the meal including tip came to 42.97. Very friendly and nice place with good music.
