Ethel's Old Corral Cafe Reviews
We celebrated my birthday on taco Tuesday & we also participated in the line dancing after dinner in their brand new venue. It was rustic with a timeless, vintage flair. The line dancing was family friendly and so much fun. I had the steak salad. It was solid! Good size steak medallions in a super fresh bed of lettuce and assorted veggies including tomatoes and beets with home made blue cheese dressing. We had my daughter's celebration of life there yesterday and the owners and staff bent over backwards to help us and made it run so smoothly. I highly recommend this venue. Two thumbs up and five stars! Thank you so much Misty!

Ethel's Old Corral Cafe is a charming, old-fashioned, western-style cafe that offers a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Located on Alfred Harold Hwy, it provides a great view of the Tall Indian landmark. The service is friendly and efficient, with a hostess/waitress who promptly takes drink and food orders. The menu features a range of options, including the popular pastrami sandwich, deep-pit dinner, and the Patty Melt, which is a big patty that many enjoy. Customers have also tried the buffalo burger, which, although a bit small, has become a favorite for its great taste. The cafe is clean and well-maintained, with new floors and a modern jukebox playing pop and country music. The food is delicious, with the pastrami sandwich being a standout, piled high with juicy meat and served with crinkle-cut French fries. The deep-pit dinner is a hit, featuring tender and smoky meat served with a roll and beans with cheese. While the peach cobbler is a sweet treat, some have found the deep-pit tacos less impressive due to an overpowering burnt taste. Ethel's Old Corral Cafe has a cozy biker bar/restaurant feel, with friendly and helpful staff. It offers bar seating, table seating, and outside covered patio seating, making it comfortable even on hot days. The cafe has plenty of parking and wheelchair accessibility, making it a great place to stop for a meal. Overall, Ethel's Old Corral Cafe is highly recommended, especially for those in the Bakersfield area looking for a bite to eat.
