Tried giving Pappy's another chance through Uber Eats. They aren't competent enough to put the entire order in the bag. I called to complain about what was missing and they said it was sitting there, to order it again and they'd send it. WTF? Pay twice? The idiot then got irate with me when I told him I wouldn't do that and yelled at me. Don't waste your time or money on this crap diner. You'll get better service ANYWHERE ELSE. Thomas, don't lie. No discount was offered. I was told to order again. It's too bad your business survived the pandemic. I was a fool to support it. Another update:. This business DOES NOT LIKE bad reviews. They contacted Uber Eats and attempted to get me removed for complaining and then messaged me threatening to call the police and file a libel/slander suit against me. This just shows how unprofessional this business really is. I had to block them on Facebook to get them to leave me alone.

It's disappointing the place isn't cleaned better. This establishment is always packed and typical wait times can be up to 45 minutes. Staff is friendly and helpful. Food is great.

Place can be cleaner. Food is good. Steak and eggs plate is my favorite, when they're not out of steaks that is. Get there early. Skillets are good too.

We went on a Sunday morning and the restaurant was busy. We waited about 15 minutes so that was nice. The restaurant is older and it has a good feel to it. The employees were friendly and they knew there jobs. I ordered the Denver omelette. The coffee was good and I enjoyed the flavor. Our order came out in a timely manner. It's looked great. I have the house potatoes and gravy and biscuit. I tried the gravy and biscuit. The had a good teast and I found the biscuit to have a good texture. The omelette was a good size and I enjoyed it.

It's been years since we have ate at Pappy's. Glad to see it's just as busy and just as good as we remembered! We left full and happy. We need to make more time to get out to breakfast.

So so so good! They give a generous amount of creamer to go with the coffee which is always appreciated. The servers are all very kind as well! We were a party of five and sat within 10 minutes on a Sunday morning. The food was BEAUTIFUL!! The chocolate chip pancake was perfectly made, seriously delicious. The right number of chocolate chips and the right amount of cook time! We also tried the Bakersfield omelet which was spiced sooo well. A bit spicy so if you're not into that I'd suggest getting something else! And finally we got the corned beef hash which was also really really good! All in all no disappointments here!

One phrase.....Que a gusto se come Aquí!! (How enjoyable it is to eat here)! I can't believe I have been in Bakersfield since 1994 and just discovered this place 2 years ago! Everything from breakfast to lunch we have ever had here has been phenomenal! Customer service is on point! Super busy but it's worth the wait!

We ordered Chicken Fried Steak for Breakfast as a pick up order. It was the most horrible meal, that I have ever had at a Restaurant. The meat was hard, and I shall call it mystery meat. We have eaten several times there, and had heard their chicken fried steak was good. It was hard as well as tasteless. We will not be going back.
