This little bakery is a bit of a hidden gem for lunch foods! The first time I came in, I was expecting cakes and cookies and pies, but I was very pleasantly surprised to find their tasty little savory empanadas! They have several different protein options and even some polobok (which is a noodle dish) and a super comforting chicken rice dish.. Of course, they offer many, many baked goods like cake rolls, slices of cake, mamons, and my personal favorite the Purple Ube Cake!! Definitely give this place a try if you are looking for something different and delicious!

Tell me you're Filipino without telling me you're Filipino. As a Filipino child, you either grew up with Goldilocks or Red Ribbon. So for every birthday party you had growing up, trust you had some tasty birthday cake from either bakery. So glad to hear a few years ago when Red Ribbon opened up in Bakersfield. Now, you can enjoy your ube sponge cakes or ensaymada to your heart's content without having to drive to LA. Bought a chocolate cake here for Christmas. Most recently,I bought a mango roll cake. The cake is filled with mango cream and rolled. The cake itself is not too sweet which is a great change from the other cakes you can buy from stores in town which are overly sweet and dry. They also have other merienda "snack" items like Filipino empanada, palabok and halo-halo.

Cakes are always moist, not too sweet, and you can taste the flavor ( if you order mango cake, you taste the mango not sugar). They also offer Popular Filipino favorite dishes like palabok and Arroz Caldo.

My sweet friends stopped by on Thanksgiving to say hi. They gave me these wonderful treats from Red Ribbon. I've never been here or tried these. Now I can't wait to go back and try even more. Everyone in the house was trying to eat them before I could even get pictures. Thanks my dear friends for these yummy breads.

This place is great. The guys who work here are polite and fast. The pastries are pre-packaged to portability, and the products are solid. I also love the location, having it off Stockdale is just great. I can get a pastry and walk to Home Goods, good deal!We ordered the butter cakes, the ube, and the chocolate. Chocolate is this rich, devils food like cake. Super tasty and moist. Great options for chocolate lovers. Also, it's not ad big at the other pastries because it is so dense. Butter is good, a simple cake that isn't too sweet. I think pairing this with whipped cream and strawberries would be nice. This is a safe choice for the unadventurous sort. Ube is god tier. The best of the best. Fluffy and soft, I would have adored this with some fresh whipped cream.Overall, great place. We don't have enough Filipino bakeries in town, so having this is awesome!

I had never heard of Red Ribbon, I didn't realize they were a THING. But how delighted I was that a random "I'm craving something sweet" DoorDash order led me to this bakery. I had the Ube Flan, the Butter Mamon, Ube Mamon, and Choco slice (not all in one sitting, but ...pretty close) and I am STILL thinking about each of those items and how delicious they were. Definitely going to pay them an IRL visit and 10/10 would DoorDash again. I am so excited to get to explore Filipino baked goods and more after finding Red Ribbon!

Came in today to buy my uncle his Mango Supreme birthday cake and the lady helping me was so nice. She assisted me with the cake and I got the tasty Chicken Empanada which are my favorite I did a survey as well in appreciation for my visit and I got a free Ensaymada and I also ended up buying a buttery mamon too! Great place to buy Filipino treats for merienda. So happy they're in Bakersfield
