They were hands down my favorite restaurant and I don’t know where they went!I went to Remix to celebrate, to eat, to feel better, to unwind, to prepare, and to feel welcomed: it was a place where I felt at peace as if the food was healing. You can’t pay enough for a place or people or food that makes you feel that way.Flame and Fire, O Ramen, Hon Ramen, Bentos, Vice Roy, Frugatties, and Hungry Hunter can’t hold a candle to Remix and now that they are gone eating out isn’t the same.The pork was always nice and thick pieces that were so tender they’d fall apart on your chop sticks! The broth was always creamy yet light and perfectly seasoned! The egg was always so well seasoned, and perfectly soft and creamy! the noodles!!!!! The noodles were always perfect and never ever slimy. Not to mention the staff: I loved talking with them, and they always remembered my wife and I, even if it had been several months: they always seemed l humble, and when I was at their table, I felt like I was welcomed by everybody, the owner would tell me about Japan and where he got his inspiration, his sister always remembered our orders, the young lady that worked the counter and cooked was always quick and very tidy, and the older woman who cooked knew how to make the food PERFECT and together their food and their restaurant made me smile.It’s been a little over 3 months since they closed, maybe longer, so I finally broke down and went to O Ramen and it was so bad I nearly cried! The noodles were slimy, the egg tasted like smoke, the pork was as thin as deli meat, and the broth tasted like buttermilk!!! Not to mention my chicken katsu was so over cooked that the meat shriveled inside the breading. Maybe that’s traditional ramen, I don’t really know, but it tasted processed and over cooked.Remix I miss you and your whole family: it makes you guys who you are, and it makes you the best: even if you don’t have a line out the door every Saturday night.Please come back, Bakersfield needs you!Dietary restrictions: We always go here after the dentist because the pork is so tender that it falls apart on the chop sticks. Not to mention the portions are a good size without being too carb loaded.Parking: Hands down more parking than any other ramen place I have ever seen. Due to circumstance and location, the parking lot is larger than Walmarts.Kid-friendliness: Remix Land!!! We finally found good ramen on the west side. I got the spicy ramen broth and it was so flavorful. We also split the grilled gyoza and spam and egg musubi, and both were so delicious. I was surprised how much I liked the musubi, I hadn't tried it before and I'm glad I did.

The food here is incredible and never disappoints! We've been here a few times and today we've tried the spicy tuna with rice (which was amazing-very flavorful and slightly spicy!) and the loco moco with brisket, which has The BEST gravy we've EVER had. The gentleman who served us today was also very kind and helpful. Would definitely recommend coming here! Parking is easy and it's in a medical plaza that's easily accessible.

If you haven't eaten here yet, you're missing out.Whether you go with loco moco or ramen or any other option, it's going to be good and probably even amazing.They also offer specials to try out new dishes. The owner is always experimenting. At the end of the day, this place sells comfort food, and it's hard to beat.Kid-friendliness: The owner and his staff go out of the way to make your kids have a memorable experience. Such a fun menu that always has a new item. I do hope they bring back the chicken meatloaf!!! Service is always consistent and nice, and ambiance is awesome for anime fans! Love it here! It is expensive, but worth it.

My family had lunch here on a Saturday afternoon. We were greeted promptly and given a menu to look at. There are many choices to choose from and the prices are fair. We ordered the Korean BBQ plate, the Spicy Tuna over sushi rice, and the kids shared the Chicken Katsu plate. We also got some Thai Teas and pink lemonades from the fridge. The restaurant is clean, spacious, and bright. Our food was brought to our table quickly, and everything tasted great. We all enjoyed our food and experience here, we will be coming back.Parking: Plenty of parking available

The food is ok, it's about the same level as other ramen and fusion dining spots. Nobody minds paying a fair price but the extra fees suck! As you walk in you are greeted with signs saying "extra fee for this", "fee for that" and tip fee and up selling on everything. People are getting extra fee fatigue, why not buy new menus and price accordingly instead of adding all the extra fees? Why do I bother, the chef could care less what we think.

I was craving a Loco Moco, so when I Yelped it, I found this place. I had been seeing ReMix pop up on my Yelp every time I look for good Asian food, so I was excited to finally try it. I plugged the address into Apple Maps and it led me to the medical offices on the northeast corner of Stockdale and Calloway. I thought I was lost for a second because I couldn't find it. But alas! It was right at the front when I pulled into the parking lot.When I walked in, it looked like a typical fast food joint. Dining area was pretty standard; however, the first thing I noticed were the handbags for sale behind the glass in the area where food would normally be. I perused through the menu and noticed the prices were a bit high for a fast food place. They even charge a 5.9% fee for ALL orders. Not sure if it's to compensate for the current inflation trend. That's okay though; I was still craving that Loco Moco.I took my order to go and ate it at home. All I can say is "Wow!" This dish was amazing! The gravy over that perfectly steamed bed of white rice and the over medium egg. Hell yes. And the brisket was perfectly done! I will definitely be coming back for this again!
