It takes a little longer for food from the grill, but it's always worth it, and the prices are pretty

I feel like for students, the cost of food is on the high side.If you are looking for a quick, close to campus and convenient meal, the Runner Cafe may be a good option. However, if you are looking for a high-quality dining experience, you may want to look elsewhere.

Food is just “okay”. They’re robbing students by charging $5 for a water bottle ??

Pizza is good, but the pasta is bland especially the meatball marinara. Food is pricey. Chicken fingers aren't that great, doesn't taste restaurant quality. All you can eat was better because it was $10.

If you have the option, DON'T GO HERE!! Overpriced and SUCH a long wait for a burger. I've gone while there was a rush AND while the cafe was not busy.. There have been multiple times where my burger is made incorrectly. When someone asks for no tomatoes, you don't put tomatoes! I ordered an all-american cheeseburger with lettuce, sauce, grilled onions, cheese, and bacon. I don't have the lettuce and bacon, BUT I have tomatoes. Not to mention, it was a 45 minute wait. fr The people at the register are usually very nice and fun to talk to. The people making food, however, are not. One time, I asked a woman who was behind the pizza/pasta area for a towel, because I spilled something. I heard her whispering about me under her breath, and she just walked away. Bento Sushi is amazing though! The staff are nice and kind.

A bit pricey but the food is still good from what I've seen!

Food is pretty subpar compared to other cal states. Morning staff is friendly but the afternoon and night staff is a different story :/
Just stick to going to the Mexican food truck curbside kitchen, panda express, or Starbucks. The runner cafe has nicely renovated the main eating area and the serving area, but the food tastes awful. I got a plate of fish, corn, mac and cheese salad, and some vegetarian thing that not even the server knew exactly what it was when I asked. also the food tasted bland and it was barely even warm; some of my food tasted like it was at room temperature. I feel as I wasted 11 dollars on food I didn't even like! Just like others have reviewed, I will agree with them that the food does indeed taste like cafeteria food.

Food is ok, but all you can eat for 10 bucks is a pretty good deal.

Tastes like hospital food, plain and flavorless
