“There is actually two reviews for this 24 hr. Eatery. First, my initial experience was great, the two ladies (latina women) prepared the best subway sandwich in this cow poke town. They paid attention to the details with the creation of this spicy Italian subway sandwich. They ran this operation as if they owned it. In contrast, we went a second time, just a single server on this occasion. Not the same experience. The quality wasn't our reality. Next time we will look before we leap. Lastly you can only utilize the specials online.“

“First off this location accepts EBT which is great. When I went I had my made to order Turkey and Ham with pepper jack cheese, spinach, lettuce, onions, extra olives, jalapenos, oil, vinegar, salt and pepper, and the chipotle southwest sauce. Which makes for a delicious sandwich. I went during their lunch rush which wasn't too bad, I had to wait a few minutes but nothing terrible, the staff was courteous, and did a fine job making my sandwich. Subway has changed the menu completely and has a lot of new sandwich selections and they slice the meat in house now. Not that I noticed the difference in the meat or anything.

Vegetarian options: They have the Veggie Delight which is a good sandwich. They also have the Veggie Patty and salads that are good“

“I give 5 stars for friendly and speedy service when I visit in person. Recent DoorDash order for a BLT wrap, but instead got a pepperoni and ham wrap - not a fan of ham. Keep in mind most of my delivery orders are correct. Clean and well organized store. Veggies are a bit skimpy so ask for extra if you desire.“

“Very nice people, well-made sandwiches. I only gave it 4 stars because there is no restroom or place to wash your hands, and the tables weren't cleaned very well. Also, it's not their fault, but there are numerous homeless people living in and around the shopping center parking lot, and one of them entered the Subway and was begging from the people eating. When they left, he kept asking for food/money from everyone.“

“The staff here is always friendly and greets you when you walk in. Very clean it seems like there is never dust on anything including the wall art. As for the food it's a pretty good shop for sandwiches we're you don't want something huge but something cheap and good on the go.“

“I been here a few times and it’s an amazing place but only at night. The only time the employees or “employee” gives a damn. He was energetic especially at 2am and very helpful. Especially when he was able to work both the chevron and subway on his own. Fast and considerate to everyone or at least to me. Need more employees and need more employees like this young man.“

“I came in today on my lunch break and I had exceptional service from a super sweet woman named Heather, she was so attentive to detail and had great conversation. She was awesome! “ive never had a negative attitude towards this subway because its always packed of people and usually only has 1 or 2 people working. The Punjabi (?) lady who i see all the time here is super friendly and nice. I'm only doing 4 stars because she cut someone else's sandwich in front of me and then used her glove to clean it, then put the knife away, and pulled out the same knife to cut my sandwich, which didn't make me happy. She was also working on four other sandwiches at the time, so I don't really let it bug me. The sandwich was still good.I've heard people complain about it being slow before, even from my own mother, to which that I say: come into this subway with an open mind. It will probably take a few extra because they don't have many hands on deck, and this is a subway which frequently gets travel bus stops, so usually they get alot of random spurts of people. If you're starving that much, there's a gas station connected to it full of snacks and food.“

“I love subway sandwiches. This place is nice. The staff is always changing so theirs no true love for the place but a great sandwich is a great sandwich. Friendly service. Great spot. No homeless hanging out to ask for your money which is a huge plus. The downfall of this place is the restrooms are never clean.“

“Hands up I'm giving this Subway a 5-star rating for this location. It even has a drive-thru! According to the employees that's the only drive-thru in in Bakersfield. It was super clean when I went in and the employees were super friendly. I will be back! It's located right off of highway 58 and close to the railroad tracks by Edison highway.“

“Parking lot is WAY too tight. Sometimes you can't even back up because there isn't enough space between the actual parking lot, and for a car to be pumping gas at the station behind. I wish there was a little more room, but I can cope with it. Employees aren't outstanding, but they can be much worst. Either than that, I can't say much about the food, Subway is Subway.“

The manager is very polite every time I go in there the only issue is with his employees have a little too much attitude and don't always give the nicest facial expressions. A few weeks ago I ordered food through the app, I have been using the app for a while now, but this time there was a glitch where it double charged me. Jenny was the associate in the restaurant who caught it and told me. Now this has nothing to do with this location but there is no way to get a hold of a person or reach customer service person for the app and after almost 2 weeks I thought I has lost that money forever since no one ever replied to the multiple messages that I had sent subway. I tried the actual store to see if maybe someone could help me and Jenny remembered me and helped me with a solution. Her customer service went above and beyond and I was able to get the issue resolved with her help. She is exactly the type of person who Subway wants, she is a dream. Subway if you do not give her a raise, promote her, or give her gratitude in some way...I swear, I almost swore to never eat subway again. She helped me when Subway corporate could not. Thank you Jenny, you and your coworkers always offer a smile and a warm welcome whenever I come into the store. Absolutely the best customer service out there!“

“Understaffed!(4 stars for just sheer lack of employees, service was impeccable.)Stopped in after a long day to grab a bite, and there was a difficult customer ahead of me. There was exactly ONE employee working here (at the counter, anyway, not sure if there was anyone else because no one else came to help the guy out).Said customer was becoming increasingly pedantic and demanding as the Sole Employee (Korbin) scrambled to appease them with their large, VERY particular order. If that wasn't enough, more people began to pile in, and everyone was growing impatient. On top of THAT, two young men came in with attitudes and started whistling the Jeopardy! theme after only about a minute of waiting.Despite all of this, Korbin continued to smile and provide the best service he could, not skipping a beat even as the difficult customer continued to make changes to their large order. He didn't get flustered, he didn't get curt with anyone, he continued to do the best job he could. He even made a point of greeting everyone as they came in, apologizing in advance for the wait, despite any rudeness directed his way.This review is solely to remark on Korbin's performance (the stars are for the restaurant's poor management and lack of employees during busy hours, Korbin deserves 6/5 stars), which was stellar.TLDR: HIRE MORE PEOPLE, your turnover rate from stress must be outlandish!
