Pupusas are ok, they lack flavor, but when combined with the curtido and salsa, they are at a whole different level of delicious. The curtido that night was very flavorful. The empanadas were good and the fry fish plate was tasty as well. The fried plantains are loved. While the service may be a bit slow, the savory food like carne asada plates and pupusas make it worth the wait. They also offer discounts on certain days and parking is convenient and safe. Overall, El Espino is a solid choice for those seeking traditional Central American cuisine without having to travel far.
