Perfect little spot to grab some great food after driving all night long. We came into town with the intention of finding a divey little breakfast joint and we found that at Roy's.
Stopped for a quick bite to eat, first time here. Food was great! My grilled ham and cheese was good and so were my mashed potatoes with country gravy. My boyfriend’s burger was also really good! Great service, both the cook and waitress were kind and made sure we were enjoying everything. It is an old school diner type of a cafe and may not be as up to date as some would like, but we had no problem with it.
Solid option for some good food while traveling!
Happened to be in Barstow. Stopped by Roy’s Diner on Route 66 and tried the pastrami cheeseburger with grilled onions, onion rings, and the carne asada street tacos. The Pastrami burger was really good — fresh ingredients and just the right amount of pastrami. I wish they gave more than just a few Onion rings however they were nice, crispy and large.

The tacos were okay. The portion was big, but the carne asada didn’t have much flavor and had way too much...
