Best food in Barstow both American and Asian. Friendly people, great local community atmosphere. Don’t miss it if you’re passing through.
One reviewer mentioned that the restaurant smelled funky? Yes, it does. However the Village Cafe has been in business right at its current location for 40+ years. It could use a new coat of paint and as you look around nothing has changed much in 40 years including the counter space where the register is. This place only gives out hand written receipts and it’s been that way, again for 40+ years. The funky smells are simply 40+ years of steam and smoke from the kitchen.

Beautiful small town Cafe. Very nostalgic and authentic. The owner is an amazing guy. Waited on us like royalty and served everyone like they were family. Awesome little Cafe. 😎
