Casa Velasco Mexican Restaurant

...honestly was not expecting much from a mexican place in such a tiny town but i was pleasantly surprised, the portions are huge and the salsa has a good kick to it. i ordered the carne asada burrito and it was packed with meat, not just rice and beans like some places do. the beans on the side were a little bland but the rice was fluffy and had flavor. service was a bit slow even though they werent that busy, took forever to get our check. my freind got the enchiladas and said they were the best shes had in a while so thats a good sign. its definately the pick in this area if you want decent food without driving all the way into town.

I’ve eaten here many times as I’m a local. Every meal has been a WINNER! I think I’ve had almost everything on the menu and it’s always been fresh, delicious and served by the friendliest, customer service-oriented people in the area as it’s owner-operated and mostly family work here. Yolanda, the owner, is THE BEST!
You can’t go wrong eating here at Casa Velasco!

Food is absolutely delicious!!! Its i lil off the path downtown but wow. Had the beef fajitas and the were big and absolutely delicious!!! Im leaving after a week in bass lake and this will be my last spot I vist before I leave!!!

A hidden gem of a restaurant on/near Bass Lake. The food and service were excellent. Our Arroz con pollo and mole enchiladas were flavorful and in large portions. They came hot and promptly, despite being packed with customers. Kudos to the serving and kitchen staff. I can't recommend this place enough.

Below average food, high price. Thought it would be better considering all the stars. Below average at best. Crunchy toco's were chewy, wife didn't even eat her food, she had one of my chewy toco's.

Nice spot with a vegetarian section on the menu. The vegetarian enchilada is essentially a wet burrito and was delicious. Lots of free parking outside, indoor and outdoor seating, two gendered stall restrooms.

We live 15 minutes from Mexico and we were thoroughly impressed with this restaurant!!! The quality of food and service is amazing. Definitely the best Mexican food I've had years!!!!!
