We were in Beaumont, California for a business trip and decided to stop at Boston Pizza for dinner. It turned out to be an excellent choice! The food was delicious and fresh, the service was outstanding, and the staff made us feel very welcome. The atmosphere was clean, comfortable, and perfect for relaxing after a long day. Boston's Restaurant & Sports Bar offers a good pizza experience and a large draft line up. The bartender on a weekday date night was attentive and every drink was described as absolutely perfect. The cocktail menu includes a Galaxy Fishbowl made with Wild Turkey, lemonade and butterfly pea flower powder, though the color may appear light orange instead of the expected cool purple hue when stirred. The screens are huge and games play constantly, making the place a casual spot for a quick bite while watching a game.
The restaurant has a spacious inside for bigger groups and a line up special that includes a main dish, a side and a drink. The burger described on the menu arrived basic, and the steak salad ordered for twenty something dollars looked like cheap $3 bags of salad mix with brown wilted lettuce, carrots and cabbage, burnt steak strips and blue cheese, which many found unappetizing. The side salads were also noted as not fresh, with brown lettuce. Pizza can be overly sauced, while wings are described as decent.
Service can be very good, with a bartender who is awesome and a waiter who tries to help, but some guests reported unclear upcharge details for draft beer and a conversation that went in circles about fine print. The experience may last over two hours, leading to frustration for those celebrating a special occasion such as a wedding anniversary. For a casual drink, quick pizza take out and a game night, Boston's Restaurant & Sports Bar is considered a good choice, but for a special dinner the food and service may be seen as poor or subpar.
