Prices are off the roof. Regular burrito $15.75, when I asked why was it $16.25, because I used a debit card. Burritos $6 more than super at El Farolito. They didn’t have the fruit sauce I enjoy. After two decades I’m done el Metate and over priced dishes. The charm is gone.

It's too bad the food and the cooks are outstanding. However the fact that the restaurant is next to a bar sucks because there are drunk men that will go to the restaurant and harass the cashier and the customers. I was harassed and so was the little lady cashier & she took her attitude out on me. I can feel how uncomfortable most of the customers were as well because he made nasty comments. It was so bad I ended up leaving and said forget it! There's no way this is OK! If only they could relocate bc again, their food is great! but I don't think I'll ever come back again for this reason and no one said or did anything about it, until I did. Hopefully something changes.

Saw the deluxe tostada online and thought it looked good so I ordered it thinking I was getting the one on the right but was given the one the left instead. Disappointing. Especially since I'm pretty sure I saw 2 people leave with the one on the right.

This is very authentic Mexican food. You don't come here for fancy meals or a quiet atmosphere. But you do come here for a very satisfying lunch or dinner.
