It's a very slow place, even though it's not busy. The employee with a beard is not polite at all.

Delicious lunch with good service and fun conversation with Adam. This is a place worth visiting and coming back to.

Seriously the tacos here are so underrated. The Al pastor has by far been one of the best I've ever had as well as their carne asada. I would say this place is definite hidden gem here in Benicia. I just don't understand why this place is so slow when the food itself should not warrant the slow foot traffic. I would definitely go back!

had fish tacos at the bar. They were very good along with drinks. IlOwnership has changed recently. We will be back to check out more of the authentic items.

Went in with a small group, trying to help out a small local business that's been struggling to attract customers ever since ownership changed late in COVID. We were the only people in there at the peak of dinner time. Food was okay.Service a bit sketchy. No drink menu. No prices given (given issues will hand written bill and method of payment, per below, pretty obvious why). Bartender delivers a handful of lime wedges with their bare hand. Bill arrived. Handwritten. Bit confusing. Almost $300 for nachos, tacos, burritos and one drink per person. Credit card fee proactively added to the check, okay no problem. Again, small business that's been struggling. We get it. The manager then proceeded to get angry that a credit card was being used and demanded cash. When a member of our party quietly mentioned to the server/bartender that they'd already proactively charged us a CC fee and it was not a great business practice to also give a hard time for using the CC, server/bartender doubled down, got very argumentative and went on the attack verbally.Whoa. Okay. Never again. Plenty of other local businesses to support

Where does one begin? Shall I begin w a hand full of limes? CC fraud? Cash? Up charges? Or lack luster food? Poor service?! Considering we were their only customers for the night, you'd think we'd be given some respect? Let's start with the limes, a sweet lady in our group kindly asked for some cut up limes, the bartender, turned server proceeded to bring a hand full of limes in his hands, no gloves and dirty nails and place them on her plate!! Ummmm what? Health code violation?!?! I mean.......how about asking for guacamole only to be told we don't have any! Let's see you have avocados, salsa, and pico. Pretty sure you can make guacamole. Cool....next! Bill time (skipping the no taste food bc well that doesn't need much explaining) We received a very confusing, handwritten Bill, the bartender turned server, comes over and starts hovering over us. What we're trying to figure out why tax is so high why a Cc fee is so high...so we added it up' since they already charged us a Cc fee we didn't pay the $300 bill in cash! But wait the Bartender told us that " the lady wanted to charge you 15% but I know the law so I only charged you 10%. Ummmm OKAAAY!!! when one of our party went to pay w the CC that "lady" said where's the cash, she said I'm paying w CC that same lady said can you pay w the cash (guess they were spying on us and saw the cash) she again kindly declined and said no thank you I'll be paying w my card, then that same "lady" said can you do 1/2 in cash, again no thank you! As "the lady" muttered things, the bartender toldHer to "shut up"! We did tip more than the 10% only bc we aren't d*cks! But when kindly telling the bartender it's not good business to tack on a CC fee in the total then ask for that total in cash with the fee included! He proceeded to verbally get aggressive, and name call! Well, I guess this "bad apple" of a restaurant won't get any more of our money!

Absolutely not. So freaking expensive. Ordered a super burrito it wasn't even filled halfway to capacity I was able to roll it in half it was mostly tortilla that's how empty it was. two burritos, one super small barely any meat on them nachos and three beers $130. Unreal! However, the people are very nice and friendly.

The hubby & I decided not to cook dinner, it's Friday night, let's go out to eat. We stumbled upon this cozy place. There were two people in the restaurant, two TV's were on the football game and they had great music playing. We had spritzer margaritas which were really good. I had one drink and a nice mellow buzz. To eat , I had the steak taco combo and my husband had the shrimp and fish tacos. The steak was seasoned well. Beans & rice were okay My husband's taco were okay. The service was great. Mom & daughter we're very attentive, great service. The food was average, not sure we would come back for the food, but we enjoyed the night out and overall place.

It's changed since the pandemic and unfortunately not for the better. Looks like new owners and new menu. Cleanliness went really down hill. Went to sit outside on the patio and was sat next to a random toilet plunger laying on the ground. Not a good sign. Moved indoors and it was unusually warm inside with flies at the new table. Ordered a soda and drank 1/4 of it before finding a very long dark hair in it. Decided to get a water instead and there was nats in both water glasses. Our group ordered an appetizer and lunch but it was not good. The waitress was super nice and to not offend we decided to move food around the plates to make it look like we ate. After arriving home shortly after we all fell ill at the same time and lasted 2 days. I think it was a bad ceveche appetizer. I don't think we will be back because it's not what it used to be.

$70 for four beers and a plate of Nachos. Food was cold and probably fifteen chips on the plate total. Ludicrous. Beers were flat and one of them not even filled 3/4 of way up. We had a heart attack when we saw the bill. Not going back.

There was a change in ownership at this restaurant and sadly it wasn't for the best. The menu for this restaurant is now Mexican so I was excited to try since I have been looking for a good local Mexican restaurant. This was not it. We came in at around 3:30pm and the spot was empty- inside and the patio. We even had to yell hello to see if anyone was there and asked if they were open. The lady said yes and let us sit wherever we wanted. The menu is small and consisted of mostly tacos, burritos, and nachos. We weren't really hungry and told her we were just there for drinks and apps. She did not provide a drink menu so I figured Mexican restaurant, they should have margaritas. My husband ordered a beer that he saw was on tap at the bar when we passed by to sit down. We had no idea how much these drinks would be. Margarita- decent, nothing extraordinary Beer- del cielo IPA had a citrus flavor and was a lot more mild for an IPA Nachos- very plain. Just had the Asada, cheese, guacamole, and maybe a very little amount of beans. There was no sour cream, no pico de gallo, or jalapeños. Side order of fries- nothing spectacular. Strawberry lemonade- was very watered down. We were still eating and vibing out when the lady came and randomly asked us if we were ready to pay at around 4pm. We asked her if they were closing and she said well normally they close at 6pm but they have an event tonight so they are already closed. Wish they had told us that before. So we just paid the bill and hurried up. Our bill was $59 (excluding tip) for just the things I mentioned above. They must've charged ridiculous prices for the drinks because that bill was ridiculous. The bill wasn't itemized and everything was on that small little handheld machine. Next time we will just hit up Applebee's happy hour because unfortunately, the quality of their food was no bueno.

I would give ZERO stars if it weren't for the service.Very friendly and personable server and bartender-they were great! .The food was 80% white, jiggly FAT! I won't be back.

We've been here 3 times over the past several months. Each time the food was excellent. We had the Sante Fe Carnitas which were so good. We've also been for their Taco Tuesday. I especially like the fish tacos. I only gave it 4 stars because the wait for the food is slow, however, if you're not in a hurry it's well worth it in my book. I also like the outdoor patio so we can occasionally bring our dog.
