Always good quality breakfast, location near the waterfront
Great food, only sad part is they close at 2pm
I'm genuinely perplexed by the high ratings of this cafe. Tried it out for today's brunch date with my husband. I ordered the huevos rancheros. At first glance, it looked promising, with all of the main ingredients that should go into huevos rancheros. But it was bland, without a blend of seasonings that would bring it to life. 16.50 for a good huevos rancheros breakfast plate is a reasonable price for quality dining. But the price was highway robbery for a bland breakfast that I could have pieced together with my limited cooking skills. My husband got a breakfast croissant. He said it was okay, nothing to write home about. He chose the fruit cup side, and we both agreed that the grapes and melon chunks looked sickly, like they were old. He also got the pancakes with mixed berries. He ate the pancakes without comment, and gave the berries to me, which I enjoyed. Google Maps said this place was similar to The Joy of Eating Cafe. I couldn't believe they made that comparison. If you're going to drop $45 on breakfast for two, I recommend you go to The Joy of Eating Cafe, which is *actually* good.
I went to Java Point on a Sunday and was told that there would be an hour wait for my To-Go order. I knew it was going to be worth it. I ordered the Tapsilog and the Cornsilog and wow they were delicious! Definitely well worth the wait for the food.
Good lord this place has fantastic food. I only wish I lived close enough to come here everyday.
I really like this place. However, I ordered pancake and vanilla latte today and the pancake was not cook all the way and they had pancake mix under the pancake. Also the latte has like coffee grinds or something inside. It was nasty. I also ordered the longsilog and that was really good, no issues.
Java is our go to for breakfast or brunch me and my husband go atleast once a week. The coffee is the best around and I'm super finicky about my coffee but they are great at making drinks, best food around its the only place we eat at around here or we drive across the bridge.
Hole in the wall cafe in Benicia. Good scones! Very few places to sit if busy. Can't walk in so they have the service register set up at the door.
The girls used to be super nice but something changed. They don't seem to be smiley and happy anymore. We have been getting our coffee there but it was the second time that we got severely sick because of their coffee.
i give them no stars if i could. Unfriendly employees, takes way to long to get your food, over priced food that a 8 year old kid can cook at home and small portions to go with that way over price regular food. on top of all that they don't know what fries are because the menu says FRIES but what they give you is rustic sauted potatoes that really isn't worth the drive to go there.

OK food. Slow to get it. Boxed to go with minimal tables outside. No bathrooms.
Best at making steamed milk beverages in Benicia. Everything on the breakfast menu is good.
Can get slow service due to covid restrictions. Good food. Below average to average price to quality rating.
Enjoyed the food. Great place
Fast, tasty drinks, very polite. Got the strawberry match a latte and the strawberry puree was excellent, not too sweet with just a bit of zing from the lemon.
