Mare Island Brewing Co. – First Street Taphouse

Food was good but the place was dirty & the workers weren't busy. They should've maybe been cleaning the huge mirror behind the bar or cleaning under the counter that was full of dust bunnies & wads of paper. I just hope the kitchen is cleaner 🫣

Great experience. Mid day stop with the little one for a quick lunch.

Great environment. Staff are nice and welcoming. I believe its dogfriendly since there were a few parties with pet. Nice outdoor sitting to enjoy the weather.

I'm considering making a blog and adding the burgers and sliders on as one of the best burgers in the Bay Area! The onion jam is just to die for, quality of meat, and amazing baked buns. My recommendation, put the chips in the burger, extra crunchy adds heavenliness to the caramelized brie meltyness. Everything else is delicious and made with integrity. I actually came here 2x 2 weeks apart and can attest the food was just as good as first time, so well done team! They currently have canned cocktails which are honestly pretty fire, but can't wait to see what they do when/ if they do craft cocktails. Grateful to have this in our little town, the staff is super friendly and passionate about their restaurant.

Enjoyable visit. Good IPA and Hazy. It’s worth a stop. Next time I’ll try the food. Nice vibes here. It’s more of a restaurant than a taphouse, though. Just an FYI.

We love all the locations, but the Benicia taphouse is like coming home. The beers and food are fabulous. The team is friendly, knowledgeable, talented, and great at making everyone feel welcome. We are happily becoming regulars.

We had the Ahi tuna and soba noodle salad which was phenomenal. Hit the spot with the hydraulic sandwich IPA and the Dig On for Victory Red Blend. We want exactly this again next time we go back!

I had a great time visiting Mare Island yesterday! This brewery has everything so polished and spot-on. The pretzel, beet salad, and fish tacos were extremely fresh and delicious. All of the beers I sampled were amazing.

My description at this out of towner must visit: Simply Delicious! The BEER is the attraction! My favorite was the HYDRAULIC SANDWICH IPA. Along with that I grabbed some COD Fish Tacos=16 BUCKs But worth their weight in COD; great amount of protein. Mango Habanaro; light spice. A mild spice eater wouldn’t have a problem. A great spot to wet your lips with friendly staff and responsible/generous ownership.

Food and beer are excellent. I had the pale ale and saison along with some very flavorful fish tacos (salsa and tortillas are house made), along with the crab dip. On a Saturday night at dinnetime this spot was full but the staff were calm, courteous, and friendly. And for those who care, they had some UFC fights and college basketball on (but not a rowdy sports bar vibe). Would definitely recommend!

My burger was delicious, we all enjoyed our beverages, servers were on top of things. Would definitely go back.

They are across from Lucca which is tough. I'll start coming here also. Good place. They give Lucca a run for their money
