The Student Union at UC Berkeley is surprisingly underwhelming for such a prestigious institution. The building feels outdated and lacks the vibrant energy you would expect from a central student hub. The interior is often crowded, and it’s difficult to find a quiet place to study or relax. The dining options are limited and overpriced, with long lines that can be frustrating during peak hours. The overall upkeep of the space seems neglected, with cleanliness being a recurring issue. For a facility meant to serve as the heart of campus life, it feels more like a basic, uninspired space that doesn’t live up to the university’s reputation.
Martin Luther King Jr. didn't die for us to have student buildings with no AC

Kind and super helpful staff.
Very convenient and accessible Amazon locker!!!
It's a nice place with a student store and a bank. There's a community piano just outside that I love hearing people play.
Loved it.
I study here a lot. Bottom floor is a little bit loud and it gets quite busy sometimes but overall nice study space.
Many of the outlets don’t work in the downstairs
Seating and activities. Restrooms, tables, and WiFi
