Solid place in Berkeley for brunch!
I got their Brussels hash with toast, and it was super delicious! I'd definitely recommend it to those who prefer something savory over sweet.
A lot of my friends ordered their pancakes and it looked super great as well! I do recommend going with a smaller party though since we went with a group of 6 and it took a while for all of us to get our food and drinks.

I googled the site and decided I couldn't afford $30. for breakfast! That seemed to be what I'd be paying for a meal just for myself. No way, Jose!

Uncomfortable Seating Overshadows Dining Experience

Our recent visit here was unfortunately marred by extremely uncomfortable seating arrangements. Our group of five was initially squeezed into a table for four, leaving me as the fifth person awkwardly positioned on the side with no space for my legs. This made for a very uncomfortable start to the meal.

The situation worsened as our food arrived. Plates were delivered one by one, and with no room left at the table, I resorted to balancing my plate on a pillow in my lap, sitting a foot away from the table.

It wasn't until a friend noticed how uncomfortable I was when she intervened and requested to combine our table with an adjacent empty two-top that we finally had adequate space, a request that thankfully was accommodated after a manager's approval.

It became clear this wasn't an isolated incident. We observed several other tables facing similar dilemmas: two-tops with three people crammed together and another five-person group at a four-top. It raises the question of whether maximizing reservations is prioritized over basic customer comfort.

The service itself was okay, with friendly staff. The host, though, seemed a little intense. for the food, it was decent but nothing special. And honestly, dropping $300 on a where you're basically squished into your seat? That's not ok. You shouldn't have to deal with basic comfort issues when you're paying that kind of money.

Highly recommend by family members...well let's just said it was worth the drive( from Livermore), as soon as we arrived; we were greeted by the most friendliest hostess and rapidly seated. Once seated she proceed to asked for drink orders..( Like really❤️) in less than 3 minutes our waitress came to greet us and again, she verified our drink orders .. coffee, orange juice and waters . Holy smokes! And that is not all ; when it came about our food orders she was on it. Extremely specific wanted to have our orders just right, ❤️ I'm a vegetarian and love that they have several choices for me 😁
Food took a little longer to arrive, but was worth the wait! We were not in a hurry. Food was delicious 😋
The restaurant is extremely clean, tables chairs and restrooms.
The employees look and acted happy to be there!
The were very in tune to our needs and the rest of other patrons.
Truly recommend this place!
Word advice if you want a table right away arrive early if not make reservations!
Get busy around brunch time.

It was over 2 years ago that I ate there and never wanted to go back. The server was rude to us for no reason. I didn’t really understand why he was rolling his eyes or looked annoyed when he was writing down our order. I guess they don’t really care about their service since it’s a college town and it’s usually students who dine there.

Chicken and Waffles 10/10- the fried chicken here is so good! Normally I’m not a fan of chicken and waffles as a combination, but this was truly incredible. The chicken was perfectly crispy on the outside but so juicy and tender inside. The seasoning was amazing and the waffle was fluffy with the perfect texture. The way they paired together was actually perfect - the sweetness of the waffle complemented the savory chicken so well. This completely changed my mind about chicken and waffles.

Beef Bulgogi Scramble 8.87/10- made with marinated ribeye, carrots, spinach, red onion, cherry pepper, and scallion. This was such a unique twist on a breakfast scramble! The marinated ribeye was so tender and flavorful - you could taste how well-seasoned it was. The vegetables added great texture and freshness, and I loved how the cherry peppers gave it a little kick. The scallions added this perfect finishing touch. Everything was cooked perfectly and the flavors worked so well together.

KFC Benedict 10/10- I love eggs Benedict and I love how they made a twist on it by making it with Korean fried chicken! This was so good and so creative. The Korean fried chicken was crispy and had amazing flavor, and I loved how they incorporated scallions and Gochujang hollandaise sauce - it’s so unique and delicious. The Gochujang hollandaise was the perfect balance of creamy and spicy. The eggs were poached perfectly with that runny yolk. This is definitely one of the most creative benedicts I’ve ever had.

Lemon Ricotta Pancakes 9.68/10- these were the perfect sweet treat to balance out all the savory food! They were so light and fluffy but packed with amazing flavor. The lemon was bright and fresh, and the ricotta made them incredibly moist and creamy. They weren’t too heavy which was perfect after all the other rich dishes. The perfect ending to an amazing meal.

Bottomless Mimosas 10/10- the bottomless mimosas were great! They definitely had all of us completely exhausted from them but they were so fun. You get 90 minutes which is plenty of time, and you get the option of having them with orange juice, fresh raspberry lemonade, or grapefruit juice. My personal favorite was definitely the raspberry lemonade - it was so refreshing and had the perfect balance of sweet and tart.

Berkeley Social Club is honestly one of my favorite places in Berkeley (yes, I’m basic) but it’s such a fun spot and their food is so good! I love how their food is pretty unique with creative twists on classic dishes, and it’s such a fun vibe to hang out with friends. I always end up coming here whether it’s planned or not, and I’ve never had a bad experience. The atmosphere is always lively and the service is great. It’s the perfect spot for brunch with friends!

I suppose this is some type of fusion. The menu did blend some Asian influence in with western food in a nice new way. When they're not real busy it can get cozy and the service is always on point. One of the best places to dine in downtown Berkeley.

A very social scene. They push the millionaires bacon so I got the BLT. That tomato...so I combined the two halves

Great modern Korean food.

Had a reservation, got a text our table was ready 10min late, then waited 45min to sit down. Food was average but the wait time was nearly an hour even though we had a reservation. If you’re hungry or in a time crunch, I would not recommend eating here.

Great Asian-inspired brunch spot on University in Berkeley. There are many different appetizing choices but I always seem to come back to the Club Loco Moco. Service is pretty good. It gets crowded so the staff is usually running around but somehow manages to make things work. Parking isn’t east on the street so factor in some time to get settled.
