Among all the Berkeley dining locations, this is easily one of the best places. Their menu has so much variety and hot beverages that you cannot find in many dining halls! It could be very crowded so make sure you leave enough time for the line. Otherwise, awesome choice and highly recommended!

I ordered food ahead of time on the grubhub app. The food that was supposed to be done in 20 minutes took 2 hours. By the time they got to my order it was 3pm and they ran out of the food I had ordered. The staff was not understanding and had to substitute my chosen meal with the vegetarian option. I left this place hangry, unsatisfied, and believing that even foothill is better than this.

Best place to use your meal swipes on the Berkeley campus. The fries are excellent, and the tofu block isn’t bad, but the service isn’t great and it’s always tough to find seating, especially indoors.

Brown's is by far my first choice when it comes to a place to use a meal swipe at UC Berkeley. The salmon is always phenomenal and is taken over the top with the chimichurri sauce. I usually get the vegetable medley, which is always delicious, and the garlic fries, which are up there for the best garlic fries I have ever eaten! The staff is very friendly, and it is always great to see them and say hello. If they ever mess up, which is infrequent, they definitely make up for it by giving you a double portion of whatever you desire. I hardly ever get tired of the food, and I have been eating here 2-3 times a day for almost 3 years now. If you haven't tried Brown's yet, I highly recommend you do, as it will be your new lunch destination. The only downside to Brown's is that the line can get extremely long around lunchtime right after classes get out, so you either have to get there right before classes are out or use their new GrubHub option.
