Best place to use your meal swipes on the Berkeley campus. The fries are excellent, and the tofu block isn’t bad, but the service isn’t great and it’s always tough to find seating, especially indoors.
Brown's is by far my first choice when it comes to a place to use a meal swipe at UC Berkeley. The salmon is always phenomenal and is taken over the top with the chimichurri sauce. I usually get the vegetable medley, which is always delicious, and the garlic fries, which are up there for the best garlic fries I have ever eaten! My friends raved about the breakfast burrito, so that’s what I got for a Sunday brunch. We had a group of 10 and there was one table that could fit us but we did need to borrow chairs to squeeze us in. Indoor and outdoor seating available. They call out your name for drinks once it’s ready, but they’ll bring your food to your table (they’ll give you a number). You order and pay first, then get seated. There’s free parking available.
