Food is fresh. Great sandwiches and salads. Line was long but moved pretty quickly. Space is large with lots of seating + patio. Grab a table quick before someone else does. You may have to bus it and wipe it down, too. Don't forget to bus your own table when you're done. Very similar to when I first ate here in the late nineties.
A young man with a red hat was in back of me in line and he wouldn’t stop talking about how he was going to report every single person that wasn’t American to DHS. He used more slurs in that twenty minutes than needed. But he was escorted out by two rather large Hispanic men. All I heard was whimpering. Cafe intermezzo was a delight as usual.
Started going here almost thirty years ago, when my band used to play at Blake's cross the street. I was blown away then and still am. Huge portions of salad and the softest bread to go along with your sandwiches. They really make you feel like you're being well fed and taken care of. Such a relief that they reopened after the fire.
