Be warned, the MATCHA đ” is chalky and bad tasting, bitter here. It doesnât taste like a high quality source, not smooth. One of those matchas you have to add a lot of sugar to, to mask the heavy chalky bitterness.
This is just a review for their Matcha and not the rest of the cafe. Itâs fine to have a low quality matcha source but then just donât charge the high price for a quality matcha.
Hopefully the Bay Area matcha culture will continue to elevate and list the source of their matcha on the menus.
Actually suck bad coffee. Donât spend your money at this overpriced coffee shop. Iâve give it zero if I could.

We just had a delicious lunch at Caffeinated Coffee on College Avenue & Ashby. Manuel recommended we get the Caffeinated Breakfast speccial with scrambled eggs, sliced avocados, potatoes and salmon( we could have also had it with bacon). I had mine either added cheese on my eggs and all three of us had a delightful lunch. Even their bathroom was beautiful!

Please be advised that their WIFI is only valid for 2 hours!
I would recommend the owner focus on the coffee taste before expanding. It's going downhill real fast.

Everything is great except WiFi. Took 40 minutes to connect to their WiFi failed. Have to leave without finish drinking.

Cafenated is a very nice, wonderful place, on the astonishing College Avenue. Great place to concentrate, study, and work.
The staff is very nice and welcoming, and the food is great.
BUT: There are lots of flies all over the place, and it's been like this for weeks. It would be great to eventually get rid of all these flies. Let's make Cafenated fly-free again!
When these flies are out of this place, I will come back, edit this review, and give 5/5 to the Atmosphere :-)
I recently went here and a 12oz latte was a whooping $7. It was not a specialty coffee nor did it have nut milk. Just a plain hot latte with regular milk. The 12oz lattes down the street at The Line and Whole Foods are $3.50 - $4.50. While the place is cute and the service was nice, the price for an average product is just too high.

Was a guest at a wedding reception here. Really nice setting in the backyard. You'd never know you were only 50 yards from a major street.

This is one of my favorite places to come through the week for remote work. I would probably camp out all day, order multiple drinks, and lunch. Except the WiFi times you out after two hours, and there is no option for getting more. I would happily pay for more internet or buy more drinks/food. But that isnât an option.
This place is primarily designed as a work/study/third space. The two hour WiFi limit undermines its core function and loses a lot of sales.
Here is an idea, sell passes for unlimited WiFi.
Great spot on College and Ashby in Berkeley. I wish there were more gluten free options in pastry selections. Bought Pao de queso from the little organic grocery store next door to have with my latte.
Unfriendly staff and WiFi often doesnât work
RACISTS!!! DO NOT BUY HERE!!! RACISTS!!!
vibes were awesome, except their 8 dollar matcha genuinely sucks every time. there were literal chunks of un-whisked matcha powder and the drink tasted watery and bland cuz all the matcha wasn't whisked up well...also as a study spot their wifi never workedđ
