food was good, service was amazing. ingredients are partially sourced straight from the chef's garden - so cool šŸ˜. strongly recommend this restaurant.

Service is bad. I guess the business owner does everything since he’s the only one serving and cooking at the restaurant. This business seems to avoid taxes and fees since you can only by cash or Venmo and there is no receipt. He’s got a bad attitude and doesn’t even talk. When we got there, there was only one table yet the wait for our food was like 30 minutes and it was not hot at all. When we asked what was the specialty for the vegetables for the day, he simply responded ā€œit’s a plant he’s growingā€?? The environment was unsanitary as well and only a few lights were on. It was like eating in a haunted house. What threw me off was when we asked for the check he rolled his eyes and didn’t say anything or think you after we paid. I mean, if you are so cheap and don’t even follow regulatory rules why would you even care to open a business in the first place?

The food was Amazing!!! Sure it had slightly dim lighting and an interesting atmosphere, but if you want good food, at a good price, being cooked right behind you right after you order, this is the place to go. Service was fast, the chef and assumed owner was nice!

The environment is unclean, making it uncomfortable to dine in. The owner has some weird attitude. He hates customers i guess.

Ok the service is meh and resturant looks run down yes but the taste is amazingly authentic for north western food. I feel like I'm at home, and the guy really is a great cook. I'm sure if he got more customers he could afford to hire a waiter then he wouldn't be so busy and upset

Server was extremely rude. Food was decent but not worth the bad service.

This is a hidden gem on Durant Ave. The restaurant looks like it's a family-run place that's good for a chill dining-out experience (there's a wait for the food but it's worth it).

If you're looking for authentic spicy cuisine from North China, this is a good place to start. There's plenty of space for families and large groups.

The restaurant is on the second floor and you'll need to take the stairs past the Korean restaurant. It's not a difficult climb but it also means the place is not wheelchair-friendly.

Payment accepted via cash or Venmo.

Parking: Paid street parking is available close to the Graduate hotel. It's a short walk to everything else.

It's very delicious. I go to a restaurant very often. I especially like the Guobao Pork?. There is only one boss. Many people say that he has a bad personality, is aggressive, and has poor service. But actually I don't mind! And the boss is not mean, it’s just his personality. I even took the initiative to talk to him. He is actually very honest! ! And the food is so delicious. I believe many customers will keep coming here even if they don’t like the service.

In a somewhat bad environment, I am worried about their hygiene. The vegetable prices are unreasonable and only cash is accepted. Not worth going

There’s is only one worker at the restaurant. He acts as the server and the cook. He’s got a very bad attitude. I asked him to cook me fried rice and he said it’s too much effort to do so. So he ended up serving white rice instead. Food is alright overall but feels unclean. I got a stomache right after eating at his restaurant.

I have to say it is one of the best crispy fried pork with sauce(ęŗœč‚‰ę®µ) I tried. I don’t mind the service. The owner is a interesting guy. I first asked if it is (authentic) north-eastern cuisine, because the owner is speaking southern accent. The owner is super impatient and asked me to the name of the restaurant. He also keeps complaining he is too tired. Anyway, would definitely come again.
