We wanted to try a new Italian restaurant in Oakland. Since it’s our first time, we asked for recommendations and ordered 2 appetizers, 2 pasta dishes, pork chop , sea bass and wine. We left the restaurant after spending $250 for 3 people disappointed. And we were starving at 8 pm on a rainy day.
Pork chop- little to no sauce, hard to cut, chewy.

I was introduced to this restaurant by my other “foodie” friend Maria Vargas. I have been there about 4 times now. I appreciate the fresh pasta, the fresh veggies and the excellent service. Will be back again soon.
We highly recommend Donato and Co, an excellent restaurant with a healthy organic and local menu, handmade pasta, delicious appetizers. They source area vegetables and meat/fish. CA and Italian wines plus interesting cocktails are on the menu. Their desserts are also amazing. The servers are very well trained, professional and smiling! K provided excellent service to our large group. Thank you Donato for contributing to our gathering of friends and providing a fine Italian meal.
