This is one is my top 3 favorite restaurants in the Bay Area. Absolutely fantastic food, get the family style mix with the veggie combo. I can't wait for them to reopen after covid.

Hands down, the **best** Ethiopian restaurant in the bay area. The injera has just the right amount of sourness, and the special kitfo is to die for! I've been here so many times, more than I can count, before the pandemic. Looking forward to your reopening in a new location!

Best Ethiopian food in the Bay area (out of the 7 places I've tried).

Finfiné is my favorite hidden gem in Berkeley! I'd never had Ethiopian food before coming to Berkeley, but it is so flavorful and fun to eat with your hands. Unlike a traditional restaurant, there's no silverware set on the table. Basically, you order a meat, seafood, or vegetarian dish, and it is served with injera, a sour-dough flatbread made of teff flour. It has a spongey texture, and you wrap it around the toppings. Even though eating this dish can be messy, it is interesting to experience how another culture enjoys their food! I highly recommend the vegetarian combo dish! They have gluten-free injera, and you can also order the dishes family-style. The staff here are super friendly and even gave my friend and I a free dessert! It's a bit pricey but so worth it!

Great food, and I've had a lot of Ethiopian food in the past. Service was excellent, attentive but not intrusive, ambiance is casual, I don't live in Berkely but if I did, this would be a regular spot for me. I will be back!

I came to this family restaurant with some friends for dinner. Each item on the menu was priced around $15-18. My party of 5 originally ordered 2 dishes, but the server told us that we needed to order at least 4 dishes. We ordered 2 vegetarian combos along with one lamb tibbs and one chicken tibbs. Although I don't love meat, the lamb was delicious. The vegetarian foods were also really tasty. This was my first time eating Ethiopian food and I wasn't disappointed!! Additionally, the ingara was really soft and tasted good. The servers were friendly, however service was a bit slow for a week day. We also each ordered a house wine, and that took quite a while to arrive. I will say the restaurant is quite hard to find, tucked away in a little canopy of different stores and cafes on Telegraph. I'd come here again if I were craving Ethiopian food in the future!

Charming place to have a very congenial meal. It was perfect for us before a concert at Zellerbach. Very grateful to be able to make a reservation. Delicious Ethiopian food (which they readily modified for the few in our party who don't eat especially spicy food) served communally. The congenial hosts helped to make this a wonderful way to enjoy a pre-concert dining treat

This place was nestled away in the back of several restaurants and shops on Telegraph. We had to wait for our party of five to arrive in order to get seated. Originally, we were going to order two dishes but the server notified us that we had to order at least four dishes. We ended up getting the lamb tibs, chicken tibs, and two vegetarian combos. Everything was so great! There were many different textures which I enjoyed, and my favorite was the lamb. We also ordered the house wine, which was $6 per glass. Service was a little slow when trying to get drinks even though we came on a Wednesday night. Each dish was around $15-17, and everything came out on one plate, making it family style. As this seems to be the closest Ethiopian food to campus, it's super convenient for students!

Food was subpar compared to Ethiopia Restaurant or Enssaro. I am really doubtful with their claims of chicken being organic and lamb grass-fed. We tried to order a bottle of mead. We ordered the sweet one, but we were served the medium sweet one. We called the patron immediately and explained his error. He then said the menu was printed incorrectly, and that the medium sweet and the sweet should be swapped over. The bottle was served without the bottle cap being detached from its seal and the mead was simply watery. I seriously suspect that it might have been watered down. I came because of all the good reviews, but this place feels seriously sketchy.
