Hands down, the **best** Ethiopian restaurant in the bay area. The injera has just the right amount of sourness, and the special kitfo is to die for! I've been here so many times, more than I can count, before the pandemic. Looking forward to your reopening in a new location!
Finfiné is my favorite hidden gem in Berkeley! I'd never had Ethiopian food before coming to Berkeley, but it is so flavorful and fun to eat with your hands. Unlike a traditional restaurant, there's no silverware set on the table. Basically, you order a meat, seafood, or vegetarian dish, and it is served with injera, a sour-dough flatbread made of teff flour. It has a spongey texture, and you wrap it around the toppings. This is one is my top 3 favorite restaurants in the Bay Area. Absolutely fantastic food, get the family style mix with the veggie combo. I can't wait for them to reopen after covid.
